Phytochemical test, test the mortality of larvae shrimp (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) and test the antioxidant activity of secondary metabolites extract of propolis Trigona Incisa been done. Based on the test results of phytochemical screening of secondary metabolites contained in propolis extracts showed that the crude extract contains phenolic compounds and alkaloids. Ethanol fraction containing alkaloids and phenolic compounds. Ethyl acetate fraction containing alkaloid compounds. Mortality of shrimp larvae test performed to determine the toxicity values propolis extract obtained values of 50% Lethal Concentration (LC50) at 249.6079 ppm for ethanol fraction as the most active fraction. Based on the test of antioxidant activity with DPPH values obtained Inhibition Concentration 50% (IC50) in the crude extract of 139.47 ppm ethanol, ethanol fraction at 109.44 ppm, 91.42 ppm ethyl acetate fraction and vitamin C amounted to 59.44 ppm , It can be stated that the most active fraction is the fraction of ethyl acetate with IC50 value of 91.42 ppm..

Demam Berdarah Dengue (Dengue Hemorragic Fever/DHF) merupakan penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue dengan manifestasi klinis demam, nyeri otot, dan nyeri sendi yang disertai leukopenia, ruam, limfadenopati, dan trombositopenia. Penularan infeksi virus dengue terjadi melalui vektor nyamuk genus Aedes sp. Menurut penelitian yang dilakukan oleh laeliyatun dkk (2006) buah mentimun diduga mengandung senyawa saponin dan alkaloid sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai larvasida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas larvasida perasan buah mentimun terhadap larva Aedes aegypti. Perasan buah mentimun dibuat dengan cara memeras sari buahnya. Konsentrasi sediaan uji yang digunakan yaitu 10, 20, 40, dan 80% (v/v). Pengujian larvasida dilakukan dengan cara memasukkan 10 ekor larva instar III dan IV awal ke dalam perasan buah mentimun, kontrol positif berupa abate konsentrasi 10, 20, 40, dan 60% (b/v) sebagai kontrol positif dan air PDAM adalah kontrol negatif. Perlakuan didiamkan selama 24 jam dan diamati jumlah larva yang mati kemudian dilakukan replikasi sebanyak 2 kali. Hasil perhitungan nilai LC50 dari perasan buah mentimun sebesar 43,06 dengan menggunakan metode analisis perhitungan Probit Miller - Tainner. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perasan buah mentimun memiliki aktivitas sebagai larvasida.

The material that used to bone replacement is much needed. In the beginning, the material of bone replacement came from human or animal bones, but now, the development of synthetic materials as the bone replacement from natural materials increase very fast. The Aim of this study was synthesizing bone graft composite derived from hydroxyapatite and cellulose of nata de coco (HAP/cellulose nata de coco) which tested porosity, density, and water absorption and we expected the porosity, density, and water of the composite were approaching to human or animal bones. Based on statistical analysis by Kruskal Walis (p <0,05) and AUC showed HAp/cellulose of nata de coco with 25 hours precipitation time having bony-like human porosity and there were correlation between porosity and density with water absorption capacity of HAp / cellulose nata de coco our by linear correlation statistical analysis.

ABSTRACT
Phenol adsorption using composite adsorbent Fe3O4-activated charcoal coffee grounds has been done. Composite adsorbent Fe3O4 -activated charcoal coffee grounds are synthesized from FeSO4. 7H2O and FeCl3. 6H2O with a ratio of 3: 2 and then compiled with activated coffee charcoal. The composite adsorbent Fe3O4-activated coffee charcoal was characterized by Fourier Transform Infared (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) as well as the adsorption test on phenol. The results of the characterization with Fourier Transform Infared (FTIR), peak 1604.77 cm-1 appeared showing the absorption of C=O which states that coffee grounds have formed carbon. Beside that, Fe3O4-activated charcoal composite adsorbent peaks appear at a wavelength of 509.21 cm-1 which is a Fe-O group showing that Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been successfully grafted on the active charcoal structure. The optimum conditions of phenol adsorption using adsorbent composite Fe3O4-activated coffee grounds at 30 minutes contact time and pH 5.

Biodegradable polymer electrolyte utilization on lithium ion battery is increasingly considered to prevent any waste. This study was conducted to synthesis cellulose acetate from oil palm empty fruit bunch and its properties as polymer electrolyte membranes on lithium ion battery. This study was done by extracting cellulose from oil palm empty fruit bunch. That cellulose was acetylated become cellulose acetate and characterized its functional group. Further, polymer electrolyte was synthesized with composition 25/60/15(%b/b) (SAS/PEO/LiClO4). The properties of polymer electrolyte membranes were characterized by analysis thermal properties, ionic conductivity and mechanical properties. Based on functional group data, synthetic cellulose acetate had similar the main functional group with commercial cellulose acetate. Synthetic cellulose acetate contained 27% acetyl with 1,4 substitution degree. Analysis thermal properties showed that the decomposition of SAS/PEO/LiClO4 polymer electrolyte membranes was started above 260oC. The ionic conductivity 10,81 x 10-4 S/cm of these polymer electrolyte membranes was 10,81 x 10-4 S/cm. Analysis of mechanic properties were 0,05 MPa stress, 14,23 MPa elongation and 0,35 MPa Modulus Young. SAS/PEO/LiClO4 polymer electrolyte membranes had higher ionic conductivity than SAK/PEO/LiClO4 polymer electrolyte membranes. However, SAS/PEO/LiClO4 polymer electrolyte membranes had lower thermal and mechanic properties than SAK/PEO/LiClO4 polymer electrolyte membranes.

Has been done a research concerning the use of Petunia Ungu (Ruellia simplex C.) plants as an absorbent lead metal (Pb) in the soil growing medium. The research almed to determine the levels of lead metal in petunia ungu plants and determine the effect of variations of concentrations also to determine the effect of absorption time in plants during planting petunia ungu 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks then petunia ungu planted in the soil as the growing that was added a solutions of lead respectively 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mg/L. A soil sample preparation was conducted by wet digestion method and petunia ungu plants by dry digestion method. Metal levels of lead in the soil samples and petunia ungu plants was measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometer at wavelengths of 283,3 nm. The result of research showed that petunia ungu plants can absorb lead metal, the average levels of lead metal in petunia ungu plants consist of 0 ppm 1, 2, 3 and weeks 1,2303; 1,3190; 1,5064 and 1,6915 mg/Kg. 25 ppm 2,1779; 3,0426; 3,4145 and 3,3643 mg/Kg. 50 ppm 3,1317; 3,4316; 3,8689 and 4,2841 mg/Kg. 75 ppm 3,1179; 4,6695; 6,5676 and 6,6828 mg/Kg. 100 ppm 2,5205; 3,6302; 5,4442 and 6,9167 mg/Kg. beside that a lead metal content in the soil as a growing medium decreased.

Ikan patin (Pangasius sp.) umumnya dijumpai pada perairan air tawar di Indonesia, seperti di Sumatera dan Kalimantan. Di Sumatera Selatan, ikan jenis ini digunakan sebagai salah satu kuliner seperti pindang dan brengkes. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan fitokimia metabolit sekunder dari ekstrak ikan patin (Pangasius sp.). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah studi deskriptif dengan menggunakan ekstrak yang diperoleh dari kulit, tulang, dan daging ikan patin. Ekstrak yang digunakan adalah ekstrak dari pelarut etanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana dengan proses maserasi dan akudes dengan proses infusa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada ekstrak etanol, kulit ikan mengandung alkaloid, saponin, dan steroid; pada tulang mengandung flavonoid dan saponin; pada daging mengandung alkaloid, saponin, dan flavonoid. Pada ekstrak etil asetat, kulit dan tulang ikan mengandung alkaloid; sedangkan pada daging mengandung flavonoid dan steroid. Pada ekstrak n-heksana, kulit ikan mengandung alkaloid dan steroid; tulang ikan mengandung alkaloid; dan daging ikan mengandung saponin dan terpenoid. Pada akuades, kulit ikan mengandung alkaloid, saponin, tanin, dan steroid; tulang ikan mengandung alkaloid; danging ikan mengandung alkaloid, flavoid, dan saponin. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa Pangasius sp. memiliki metabolit sekunder alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, terpenoid, dan steroid.

Uji Aktivitas Penghambatan Enzim α-Amilase dan Glukoamilase dari Ekstrak Etanol Daun Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata L.)

Research has been carried out to test the inhibitory activity of α-amylase and glucoamylase enzymes in the ethanolic extract of kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata L.) leaves. The use of kirinyuh leaf ethanol extract as a diabetes drug in vivo has been carried out, but its mechanism of action have never been researched before, so further research is needed on the specific mechanism of ethanolic extract of kirinyuh leaves in reducing blood sugar levels, especially through inhibition of α-amylase and glucoamylase enzymes in vitro. The purpose of this study was to test the antidiabetic activity of the ethanol extract of kirinyuh leaves in vitro using α-amylase and glucoamylase inhibition methods. This research uses DNS spectrophotometric method. The results showed that kirinyuh leaf ethanol extract proved to have inhibitory activity against α-amylase and glucoamylase enzymes with IC50 values of 3730.15 ± 28.91 ppm or 3730.15 ± 28.91 µg/mL and 2510.78. ± 383.37 ppm or 2510.78 ± 383.37 µg/mL. From the results, it can be concluded that the ethanolic extract of kirinyuh leaves has inhibitory activity against α-amylase and glucoamylase enzymes.
Telah dilakukan penelitian uji aktivitas penghambatan enzim α-amilase dan glukoamilase ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata L.). Penggunaan ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh sebagai obat diabetes secara in vivo telah dilakukan,tetapi belum diketahui mekanisme kerjanya, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai mekanisme spesifik ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh pada penurunana kadar gula darah terutama melalui aktivitas penghambatan terhadap enzim α-amilase dan glukoamilase secara in-vitro. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk untuk menguji aktivitas antidiabetes ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh secara in vitro menggunakan metode penghambatan enzim α-amilase dan glukoamilase. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode DNS secara spektrofotometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstral etanol daun kirinyuh terbukti memiliki aktivitas penghambatan terhadap enzim α-amilase dan glukoamilase dengan nilai IC50 masing-masing, yaitu sebesar 3730,15 ± 28,91 ppm atau 3730,15 ± 28,91 μg/mL dan 2510,78 ± 383,37 ppm atau 2510,78 ± 383,37 μg/mL. Dari hasil dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun kirinyuh memiliki aktivitas penghambatan terhadap enzim α-amilase dan glukoamilase.

The aim of this research to know chitosan compound able to replace nafion performance as a conductor of proton (H+). The assessment process and computational chemistry calculations done using ab initio methods. The analysis showed chitosan energy is -1384.7601 eH and chitosan energy after bringing proton (H +) decreased respectively by -1385.2275 eH, -1385.8487 eH, -1386.3393 eH, -1386.9652 eH, -1387.4508 eH. The result obtained proved of chitosan becomes stable so that it can be used as a proton conductor.

The structure modeling of zeolite RHO with variation of Si/Al ratio (5; 4.33; 3.8; 3.36; 3; 2.69; 2.43; 2.2; 2) and variation of alkaline cations (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Fr+) calculated by the molecular mechanics method has been investigated. The result shows that the structure of zeolite RHO with Si/Al ratio 3.36 has the most stable structure with a minimum energy 2652.0308 kcal/mol. The most stable structures of zeolite RHO impregnated with cation is that impregnated with Fr+ (alkaline) with a minimum energy 3006.6587 kcal/mol. The result shows that the zeolite RHO structure with cations Fr+ (alkaline) has the largest pore diameter which potentially has the best adsorption capacity.

This research was conducted to get the extract of rough lipase produced by bamboo shoots (Dendrocalamus asper). Lipase isolation from bamboo shoots was done by blending bamboo shoots to produce the crude extract of the enzyme. Lipase crude extracts that occurred at centrifugation at 12000 rpm for 30 minutes at 4°C. The crude extracts obtained were then tested using quantitative pH 7, temperature 30ºC and substrate 1% (v/v). Based on research there is activity of crude extract of lipase equal to 2,24 U/ml.

Determination of chloramphenicol on broiler meat in traditional market by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method has been done. The optimal of result determination to obtain, the HPLC system has been optimalized for the important parameters are composition of mobile phase, injection sample volume, flow rate and eluen pH. The result of research shown that the optimum conditions to obtain from the research are composition of mobile phase methanol:water (80:20), injection sample volume 5 µL, flow rate 0.5 mL/minute and eluent pH are 6 has been achieved. The analytical performance of method has been optimalized and gives good performance which shown with reproducibility of this method as coefficient of variation percentage (% CV) was 0.2198%, limit of detection was 0.1051 mg/L, and % recovery for the chicken meat sampel with 3 different samples > 95%. This result showed this method capable to application for the routine analysis of the determination chloramphenicol countent in samples.

A research on the adsorption of phenol with zeolite adsorbent is formed from coal ash by hydrothermal process with the fusion method. In addition, the improvement in the ability of zeolite adsorbtion on the zeolite dealimination process is done. Phenol adsorption process is done through a batch shaker method with test parameters pH, contact time and adsorption capacity factor. The measurement results for the phenol optimum conditions were at pH 10 with a contact time of 30 minutes with the value of the phenol capacity of zeolite was 1,1853 mg/g were obtained using Langmuir isotherm adsorption equation.

Polymerization of coffee grounds oil with Diphenyl Methane 4,4 Diisocyanate (MDI), epoxidation with performic acid and H2SO4(p) catalyst at 40-45°C, followed by hydrolysis to obtain polyols. The synthesis was carried out by reacting the polyol with Diphenyl Methane 4,4 Diisocyanate (MDI) with a ratio (polyol: MDI) 9:1; 8:2 ; 7:3 ; 6:4 ; 5:5 (v/v) in dichloromethane solvent. Each was characterized and the density values were 0.9086 gr/cm to 0.4979 gr/cm-1, the tensile strength and elongation values were 0.113 Mpa to 0.299 Mpa and 3.23% to 6.85%, respectively.

Lawsone is a dye which found in henna plant. Computational calculations have been done for the lawsone and its derivatives. This computational calculation aims to obtain a stable optimized structure and electronic properties to predict potency of lawsone as a photosensitizer in dye sensitizer solar cell. Computational calculation were using DFT for geometry optimization ground state and TDDFT for single point calculation excitation state. Both state for calculation using B3LYP functional and 6-311G(d,p) as basis set. The calculation in gas phase. Geometry optimization obtain lawsone structure is planar. The present of functional methoxy and hydroxy causing decresing and increasing of bond length. Based on electronic properties, such as excitation energy, maximum absorption wavelength and percentage excitation, L0 has better potential as active material in dye sensitized solar cell.

Analisis Residu Klorpirifos Dalam Sayur-Sayuran Dengan Teknik High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

The research about analysis of chlorpyrifos residue in vegetables by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) technique has been done. To obtain the optimal measurement results, the measurement performed several important parameters in the chromatographic system was composition of mobile phase, volume injection sample, flow rate and pH eluent. Optimum measurement conditions obtained was mobile phase composition (water : methanol) with 70 : 30, volume injection sample are 5 mL, flow rate are 0.5mL/menit and pH eluent are 7. The analytical performance that obtained is good showed with the reproducibility value as percentage coefficient variance (% CV) was 0.0664%, limit of detection (LOD) was 0.44 ppm, with a recovery percentage of > 95%. The results obtained showed the HPLC technique can be used for the routine analysis in the determination of chlorpyrifos for the vegetable samples.

The study of potential use of extracts and fractions of purple cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) as an indicator of acid-base has been conducted. This research aims to determine the color change at a certain pH to extract total, n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol fraction. Based on the results of the test changes color only total extracts and methanol fraction that is suitable as indicator. Statistical test that the t test for total titration end point extracts, t calculate is smaller than t table [0.4241 <2.776], it showed no significant difference between the endpoint using the total extract with bromine thymol blue indicator. While the endpoint for methanol fraction having t calculategreater than t table [6.323> 2.776],indicating the end point of the titration using methanol fraction was significantly different compared with bromine thymol blue indicator.

The research about the detection of dopamine by voltammetry method using crown ether modified carbon paste electrode has been carried out. The aims of this research are to investigate the influence of pH and the composition of modifier to the sensitivity and limit of detection for dopamine analysis. The measurement was conducted by differential pulse voltammetry method.The optimum of pH and modifier (crown ether) composition in the detection of dopamine are 4,0 and 0.8%, respectively. The linear concentration range is obtained from 10 to 200 μM, linear regression equation y = 4,968 + 0,068x with R2 = 0,9988 and limit of detection 6,865 x 10-6 M. The modified carbon paste electrode has relative standard deviation smaller than Horwitz’s (1,28%<5,66%), therefore this electrode has a good reproducibility. The recovery using crown ether-modified carbon paste electrode is 99,0% showing a good accuration. The measurement of commercial samples contain dopamine HCl (Giulini and Proinfark injection) is 87,0% and 91,5% compared with the composition on the label

In this study, Fe-doped Zn(O,S) has been successfully fabricated by a one-step preparation process using chemical wet method. The Fe-doped Zn(O,S) photocatalysts were studied by varying the content of Fe dopant. The characterizations of Fe-doped Zn(O,S) were carried out by SEM and XRD analyses to determine the morphology and phase of samples. Furthermore, the optical and electrochemical properties were characterized through EIS, TPC, DRS and PL analyses. Briefly, Zn(O,S) with 5% Fe amount exhibited the most optimum condition as compared to other Fe amounts in which it showed better charge separation with the hydrogen evolution amount of 29000 mikromol/g in 10% EtOH solution. Lastly, the proposed mechanism is initially by the trapping of water molecules in the oxygen vacancy (defect) in Fe-Zn(O,S) sample followed by the reduction to generate hydrogen (H2) gas via the intermediate of proton (H+).

Calculation of density functional theory (DFT) is carried out to investigate the adsorption of six molecules of H2 molecules on a graphite planar layer with a doping of alkali metal (Li, Na, and K). We reported that the DFT-GGA method, the presence of alkali metals on graphite, and H2-(GICs), have changed the interaction and the electronic system. We also reported that the ratio increased electron transfer from K to Na and Li. The calculation of the charge density shows that the increase in energy due to the transfer of electrical charge from GICs to six molecules of H2. This changes the electronic properties of graphite that are important in applications such as hydrogen storage.

Determination of amino acids essential’s content (methionine, leucine, isoleucine and lysine) on turtle eggs and duck eggs. Turtle eggs and duck eggs are a high animal protein source and easy to obtain. This research has been carried out by categorizing of turtle eggs and duck eggs by size and continued analysis of water content by Methods of Gravimetry, analyzes protein content total by the method of Kjeldahl and analysis of the levels of essential amino acids with method of HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). In this study, the researcher found the water content in the mix (large, medium and small) 75.2889% and turtle eggs on the mix 67.9020% duck egg. Total protein content in the mix turtle eggs 8.9268% and the mix duck eggs 14.2455%. Levels of essential amino acids in the mixture turtle eggs undetectable methionine, 3.25% leucine, isoleucine and lysine 1.53% 2.50%. In the mix duck eggs undetectable methionine, 1.30% leucine, isoleucine and lysine 0.58% to 0.38%.

The research of activated carbon utilization of dirty coal as an adsorbent ion cadmium (Cd) and plumbum (Pb) has been done. In this research, the variations of solutions pH value (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6), contact time (5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 minutes), and the variation of concentration (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 mg/L) were applied. The determination of cadmium and plumbum ion concentraction used an Atomic Absorption Specthrometer (AAS). The optimum condition cadmium ion on pH 4, than in the plumbum on pH 5 with optimum time contact is 15 minutes and the maximum adsorptive capacity cadmium ion in value is 2,90 mg/g, than on plumbum ion is 3,08 mg/g.

The research of silica gel manufacturing from cane pulp cinders (Saccharum Officinarum) and the application for Cu (II) ion adsorption has been done. The adsorption of Cu (II) ion done by some variaties, such as pH, concentration, and contact time. The result of the research shows the optimum of pH was 8, concentration optimum was 8 ppm, and contact time was 75 minutes. The perecentage of recovery was 90,28%, shows the effectivity of silica gel from cane pulp cinders can be applicated for adsorption Cu (II) ion.

Synthesis of dietanolamide surfactant from methyl ester of sunflower seed oil (Helianthus annuus. L) has been carried out through an amidation reaction. In the extraction process showed the oil content of sunflower seeds was 32.93% with an acid number of 3.25 mg KOH/g and ALB levels of 1.63%. Sunflower seed oil was then converted to methyl ester through the esterification process and obtained an acid number 1.84 mg KOH/g so that the ALB level dropped to 0.92% and obtained saponification numbers of 61.19 mg KOH/g. The most dominant composition of methyl ester of sunflower seed oil based on GC-MS analysis was methyl oleate at 23.28%. The FT-IR methyl ester spectrum gives a specific absorption peak for group C=O ester at wave number 1743 cm-1. Methyl esters are converted to diethanolamide through an amidation process. The resulting diethanolamide has an acid number of 9.7 mg KOH/g and a saponification number of 3.08 mg KOH/g. The FT-IR spectrum provides specific absorption peaks for groups C=O amides at wave numbers 1622 cm-1. The value of HLB dietanolamide in practice is 13.6495 and in theory is 14.291 which includes the surfactant in the oil in water (O/W) emulsifying class.

Coagulation-flocculation is one of the waste water treatments using coagulant/flocculants agent. Using coagulant/flocculants based on natural polymers were many used due to many available, renewable source, and environment friendly. One of that coagulant/flocculants was chitosan that can be produced through deacetylation of chitin. Amino groups in the chitosan structure play important role in the coagulant/flocculants process. The aim of research is using chitosan-based coagulants in the coagulation-flocculation of kaolin suspension. In here, there were two coagulants type, first, single coagulant which chitosan with different molecular weight added alone in kaolin suspension. Second, mix coagulants which chitosan aid with alum in kaolin suspension. As the result, functional group analysis showed that chitosan with different molecular weight have the same functional groups. Increasing molecular weight of chitosan increase NH2 groups and degree of deacetylation. The removing turbidity of kaolin suspension showed that increasing molecular weight chitosan increase removing turbidity of kaolin suspension. Using double coagulant (chitosan and tawas) have the removing turbidity greater than single coagulant.

The research about the characterization of flavonoid compound from the leaves of plants applicability chloroform
(artocarpus odoratissimus Blanco). Extraction plants done by maceration method and separation of compounds was
performed using the technique of vakum liquid chromatography and chromatography colomn flash. Separation result
obtained yellowish-white powder. Resul spectrum UV-visible absorption obtained namely the 254.37 to 181.28 area
absorbance wavelength (nm), while FT-IR analysis result provide absorption at wavenumber there is an alkyl group, a
hydroxyl group, an aromatic group and C-O-C stretching based on the data spectrum UV an IR spektrun can be
concluded that the compounds suspected isolated belonged to the Flanva-3-ol. Toxicity was conducted for prawn larvae
Artemia salina Leach. Effect of toxicity from isolate identified with presentage of prawn larva and counted by probit
analysis (LC 50 ). The results of this test showed that the the isolate was very toxic with LC 50 value of 26,8824 ppm. The
test result obtained mortality of shrimp larvae LC 50 value of each sample is 110.5176 ppm total extract, chloroform
fraction 147.7895 ppm, and isolate 80.2568 ppm.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian mengenai pembuatan edible film yang bersifat antibakteri dari glukomanan umbi Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) yang diinkorporasi dengan ekstrak etanol umbi Bawang Tiwai (Eleutherine bulbosa (Mill.) Urb.) untuk mendapatkan formula edible film glukomanan umbi Porang dan ekstrak etanol umbi Bawang Tiwai yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 dan Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 telah selesai dilakukan. Aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol umbi Bawang Tiwai dilakukan dengan metode difusi agar dengan konsentrasi 2, 4, 6, dan 8% menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol umbi Bawang Tiwai dengan konsentrasi 4% memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap kedua bakteri masing-masing sebesar 13 mm dan 15,83 mm. Formula edible film yang mengandung glukomanan 6%, gliserol 25%, dan ekstrak etanol umbi Bawang Tiwai 4% menunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 dan Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 masing-masing sebesar 14,83 mm dan 16 mm.

TOFU DREGS AS A NUTRIENT FOR Saccharomyces cerevisiae IN THE PRODUCTION OF BIOETHANOL FROM RED RICE (Oryza nivara) THROUGH FERMENTATION

Research on the production of bioethanol from red rice flour starch (Oryza nivara) through enzymatic hydrolysis process and fermentation by Saccharomyces cerevisiae with the addition of tofu dregs as a nutrient source of microorganisms has been conducted. The process of bioethanol production consisted of hydrolysis, fermentation, distillation and ethanol content analysis using gas chromatography instrument. This research was conducted to determine the concentration of nutrients and the duration of fermentation to produce optimal ethanol levels. The hydrolysis process is carried out enzymatically through the liquification stage using ?-amylase and gluco-amylase at the saccharification stage. Then the fermentation process continued with a variation of 7, 8 and 9 days using Saccharomyces cerevisiae with the addition of tofu dregs concentration 0.5 %, 1 % and 1.5 % (w/v). The highest ethanol levels obtained from gas chromatography analysis was the addition of tofu dregs 1 % (w/v) and fermentation time for 8 days, with ethanol content obtained at 59.325 %.

Incorporation of vitamin E from palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) into matrix of mixed gum acacia and galactomannan from Arenga pinnata (kolang-kaling) (GAP) has been studied. Galactomannan extracted from Arenga pinnata was 4.7%. Incorporations were conducted using using 7 gram gum acacia (GA), 1.3 gram vitamin E from PFAD and GAP varied from 0.1 – 0.4 gram in 100 ml total volume. The thickness of the film occurred in the range of 0.600 – 0.780 mm. In the increment of GAP amount the viscosity and stability of film was increased. The best film obtained which most compatible and has viscosity similar with standard of ISO 9001 – 2008 and ISO 22000 – 2005 was from formula 3 contained 0.2 gram GAP. The oncentration of vitamin E determined using gas chromatography was 75.4501%. The composition of vitamin E was tocotrienol 74.41% and tocopherol 25.59%.

Kelengkeng fruit already well known for Indonesian society. Not only from the contents of the fruit, but Kelengkeng also have many other beneficial from the seed, leather, root and leaves that useful for human health. In this research, phytochemical and antioxidant activity test have been done. Antioxidant activity test was carried out with scavenging test to 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhidrazil (DPPH) radical. On antioxidant activity test, mix of extract and DPPH are incubated for 30 minutes at 37oC, then the absorbance measured at λ = 517 nm using spectrophotometer. The absorbance from sample, blank and negative control are converted as Antioxidant Activity Absorbance (AA%). Based on result of phytochemical etanol extract, Kelengkeng contains phenolic compounds. And based on antioxidant activity test with DPPH radical scavenging method by spectrophotometer, ethanol extract of Kelengkeng has antioxidant activity about EC50(72.23±2.55) while Vitamin C as comparison has antioxidant activity about EC50(6.07±0.36).

Penelitian tentang isolasi selulosa dari eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) melalui proses ekstraksi sokletasi, delignifikasi dan bleaching, dilanjutkan dengan sintesis asetilasi dengan memasukkan gugus asetat ke dalam gugus fungsi selulosa hasil isolasi telah dilakukan. Membran selulosa asetat-PVC dibuat dengan mencampurkan selulosa asetat dengan polivinilklorida (PVC) sebagai matriks yang terlebih dahulu dilarutkan dengan pelarut tetrahidrofuran (THF), kemudian ditambahkan dioktilftalat (DOP) sebagai pemlastis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa eceng gondok dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi membran selulosa asetat-PVC dengan komposisi optimum pada perbandingan selulosa asetat : PVC : DOP yaitu 6:3:1. Hasil analisis FT-IR menunjukkan adanya interaksi antar ion Cu2+ dengan membran dilihat dari penurunan intensitas serapan sebelum dan sesudah didop yaitu 78.564 % menjadi 66.857 % pada gugus C=O dari selulosa asetat. Hal ini diperkuat dengan analisis SEM yang menunjukkan morfologi permukaan membran yang porinya diduga terisi oleh ion logam Cu2+.

"Phytochemical screening of Three Batak Leeks (A. chinense G. Don) Varians " has been carried out. For phytochemical screening, secondary metabolites were analyzed, including alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, terpenoids, steroids and saponins. From the three samples of Batak Leeks (fresh, dried and methanol extract), the result was concluded that secondary metabolites of the terpenoids were weak in the methanol extract and not detected in the fresh and dried Batak leeks .

Synthesis methyl ester can be formed from kernel bintaro oil (Carberra Mangas L.) with two stages which is esterification and trans-esterification. The test result of methyl ester of bintaro kernel oil have iod value 92,82 g iod/100 gr oil, acid value 1,67 mg KOH/g oil with acid concentration 12,470% and saponification value 185.225 mg KOH/gr oil. From GC-MS analysis fatty acid dominant composition from methyl ester is methyl oleat with walue 45.86%. From HLB analysis show value 0,539. Result of analysis of FT-IR show methyl ester from bintaro kernel oil have typical absorbtion peak on wave number 17443.65 (C=O Ester).

Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dari biji cempedak (Artocarpus champedan sp.) sebagai bahan baku pembuatan etanol, sekaligus mengetahui apakah variasi penambahan nutrisi ammonium sulfat dan lamanya waktu fermentasi dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi etanol yang dihasilakan. Proses hidrolisis pati dilakukan secara enzimatis melalui tahap liquifikasi dan sakarifikasi dengan menggunakan enzim alfa-amilase dan glukolase yang akan mengkonversi pati menjadi glukosa. Hasil hidrolisis ditambahkan amonium sulfat sebagai sumber nutrisi dengan variasi 0,1 %, 0,3 % dan 0,5 % (b/v) kemudian difermentasi dengan variasi waktu 4, 5 dan 6 hari. Konsentrasi etanol tertinggi berada pada penambahan nutrisi amonium sulfat 0,3 % (b/v) dengan waktu fermentasi 6 hari sebesar 8,233 %.

The Research to determine the levels of Pb ion on swamp cabbage (Ipomoea reptans Poir) where each of media cropping given variation of leachate volume from TPA Bukit Pinang Samarinda for every 10 kg of soil has been carried out. Swamp cabbage was analyzed in the roots, stems and leaves at the age of 2 weeks to 4 weeks. The levels of Pb2+ ion was determined by dry destruction method, then measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Pb2+ ion was accumulated on the ground kale plants. The highest levels of Pb2+ ion was contained in the roots of ground kale plants on media cropping which added 1.5 L of leachate at the age of 3 weeks of 2.0642 mg / kg wet weight. The lowest level of Pb2+ ion was contained in the leaves of control plants at the age of 2 weeks that was 0.0177 mg / kg wet weight.

A research aims to know the toxicity of Pucuk Merah (Syzygium myrtifolium Walp.) red leaves extracts against brine shrimp Artemia salina Leach and its bioactivity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus has been carried out. The dried samples were macerated with ethanol and were fractionated with n-hexane, ethyl acetate and ethanol-water. Phytochemical test showed the presence of alkaloids, triterpenoids, steroids, saponins, phenolic and flavonoid in ethanol extract. n-Hexane fraction contained alkaloids, triterpenoids and steroids, ethyl acetate fraction contained alkaloids, triterpenoids, phenolic and flavonoid while ethanol-water fraction contained triterpenoids, saponins and phenolic. Brine Shrimp Lethality Test showed that ethyl acetate fraction had the highest bioactivity in Artemia salina Leach with LC50 values of 149.8600 ppm. Antibacterial activity test using agar diffusion method showed that ethyl acetate fraction had the highest inhibiton against Staphylococcus aureus whereas total extract had the highest inhibition against Escherichia coli with MIC values of 0,5%. These results showed that Syzygium myrtifolium Walp. red leaves extract potential as an antibacterial agent.

A study was conducted to determine the antibacterial activity of modified benzalkonium chloride (BKC) kaolin Capkala against Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria. Kaolin modification begins by melting kaolin with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and reacting using a reflux device. Furthermore, the sample was reacted with BKC at a concentration variation of 0, 2.5×10-3; 5×10-3, and 2.5×10-2 M for 6 hours with a stirring speed of 150 rpm. The modified kaolin was characterized using Fourier Transformed Infrared (FTIR), and adsorption tests were performed on Cl-. The FTIR spectrum of the modified kaolin showed an absorption peak at 2926.19 cm-1 C-H symmetrical from CH2, which indicated the attachment of surfactant to the kaolin. BKC modified kaolin antibacterial activity test using the halo test method. The adsorption test on Cl- and the antibacterial activity test on kaolin and modified kaolin increased with increasing BKC concentration, namely 3545; 3828.6, 3970.4; 4183.1 mg/L and the inhibitory diameter were 2.1±0.14, 3.3±0.14, 4.5±0.14, and 6±0.14 mm, respectively. Research on the modification of Cyclic Natural Rubber (CNR) grafting Oleic Acid (OA) copolymer using initiator of Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO) and the filler of bentonite-Cetil Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB) has been carried out, which aims to determine the method of modifying Cyclic Natural Rubber (CNR) and Oleic Acid (OA) so it can produce CNR-g-OA copolymer through grafting method with BPO initiator mixed together with bentonite-CTAB. This research was conducted in three stages. The first stage is the process of dissolving CNR using xylene. The second stage is the process of mixing CNR solution and OA with the composition (70:30) phr, followed by the addition of BPO initiator and bentonite-CTAB filler. The third stage is characterization using FTIR and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The results of the analysis using FT-IR showed an absorption at 1708,23 cm-1 which indicated the presence of C=O bonds from oleic acid which had been grafted on CNR, and increased intensity after addition of bentonite-CTAB at 1568,96 cm-1; 1446,13 cm-1; 1255,66 cm-1; and 866,94 cm-1. Characterization results using SEM showed that the mixing of Bentonite-CTAB in KAS-g-OA was evenly distributed and quite homogeneous.

The research about the influence of adding initiator dicumyl peroxide and divinylbenzene as crosslink agent on the compatibility blending rasio polyethylene and natural rubber SIR 3L has been carried out. Blending is done in two steps, the first step was without the addition of divinylbenzene, polyethylene/natural rubber SIR 3L/dicumyl peroxide (w/w) 50 g : 50 g : 1phr, 2phr, and 3phr. The second step was by the addition of divinylbenzene, polyethylene/natural rubber SIR 3L/divinylbenzene/dicumyl peroxide (w/w) 50 g : 50 g : 1phr :1phr, 2phr : 1phr, 3phr : 1phr, 1phr : 2 phr, 2phr : 2phr, 3phr : 2phr, 1phr : 3phr, 2phr : 3phr, dan 3phr : 3phr. To determine the quality of yielded composites, the tensile test analysis was done, obtained the increasing concentration without divinylbenzene, maximum at variation of concentration polyethylene/natural rubber SIR 3L/dicumyl peroxide is 2 phr is tensile strength and elasticity was 2.20 kgf/mm2 and 12.29%, and by addition of divinylbenzene obtained the increasing maximum at variation of concentration polyethylene/natural rubber SIR 3L/divinylbenzene/dicumyl peroxide 3phr : 2phr, the tensile strength and elasticity was 3.31 kgf/mm2 and 28.99%. From the SEM analysis result was obtained that the addition of divinylbenzene could improved the composite’s surface so that become more flatten and homogeneous. From the functional group analysis FT-IR showed that the mixture of divinylbenzene and polyethylene/natural rubber SIR 3L/dicumyl peroxide were just physical interaction.

Research on "Correlation levels of Pb to the total protein content in the white shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis) taken around the coast of North Borneo Bunyu Island". This study aims to determine the total concentration of Pb and protein levels in white shrimp by size and sampling different regions. then the total levels of Pb and protein correlated with Least Square method. Analysis of Pb total metal content by using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) and analysis of protein content using the Kjeldahl method. In this study, the levels of Pb total in area 1 with an average of 0,738 mg/L, the levels of Pb total in area 2 with an average of 0.926 mg/L, the levels of Pb total area 3 with an average of 0,841 mg/L. The protein content of white shrimp in area 1 with an average of 27,8644%, protein content in area 2 gained an average of 29,0333% and 3 area gained an average protein content of 27,8635%. Correlation levels of Pb total the protein content of the white shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis) r = 0.877

The phytochemical test, brine shrimp lethality test and antioxidant activity test on secondary metabolits of serai wangi (Cympogon nardus (L.) Rendle) stalk have been completed. Samples are extracted by masseration method that is concentrated by using rotary evaporator. The methanol hard extract are then fractioned with n-hexan and etil n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Based on secondary metabolits phytochemical test of serai wangi (Cympogon nardus (L.) Rendle) stalk showed that methanol raw ekstract contains flavonoid, fenol and triterpenoid. n-hexane fraction extract contain steroid and ethyl Acetat fraction extract contains flavonoid, fenol and terpenoid. In brine shrimp lethality test, the increase larvae death data was recorded and processed using SAS Probit Analysis to determine the Lethal Concentration 50% (LC50) value. The results of this test showed that the most active fraction is n-hexane fraction with LC50 value of 86,9704 ppm. Based on the antioxidant activity by scavenging activity of DPPH used spectrophotometry was obtained that Inhibition Concentration 50% (IC50) of methanol extract is 67,18 ppm, extract of n-hexane fraction is 1.078,41 ppm, extract of ethyl acetat fraction is 68,96 ppm and vitamin C is 3,05 ppm.

Resistance to temephos as a larvicide of A. aegyptimosquitoes has occurred in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to look for other active compounds that can act as larvicides, but also environmentally friendly. This study used leaf and roots extract of T. erectahexane and acetone fraction as larvicide. The process begins with drying followed by extracting samples (leaves and roots of T. erecta) each with hexane and acetone solvents. Test solutions were made with a concentration of 0, 0.0075, 0.015, 0.03, and 0.1% (w/v) of the extract produced. Larvicide test was carried out referring to WHOPES by observing the mortality of instar larvae 3 and 4 in each extract. The results obtained showed the mortality percentage of larvae increased with increasing concentration and exposure time in both types of larvae. The lowest LC 50 was obtained from the root extract of hexane fraction (37 ppm) for 3rd instar larvae and acetone fraction (61 ppm) for instar 4 larvae.

Interaction study of active compounds of a medicinal plant with cervical cancer cells using the Docking Molecular (In Silico) method. In this research design the active compound sophoraflavanone B, 5,7,3 ', 4'-tetrahidroxy-3,6-diprenylflavone, apigenin and quercetin are first calculated using a quantum approach based on SCF method set 3-21G to obtain a stable compound form and has the lowest energy. Stable compounds interact with cervical cancer cells obtained from protein bank data (GDP) that have been prepared previously to obtain an inhibitory energy value, the number of hydrogen bonds and other factors that influence a Docking Molecular calculation. The interaction of compounds 5,7,3 ', 4'-tetrahydroxy-3,6-diprenylflavone against E6-HPV of 4 hydrogen bonds with a distance of 2.7-3.23 Å.

Pembuatan komposit WO3-ZnO melalui reaksi padat-padat telah dilakukan. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pencampuran padatan WO3 dan ZnO dengan penambahan polivinil alkohol, pengeringan, pengayakan dan pemanasan. Padatan WO3 dan ZnO sebelum dikompositkan serta komposit WO3-ZnO dikarakterisasi menggunakan instrumen X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), dan uji luas permukaan menggunakan larutan methylene blue. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan bahwa pada sampel mengandung WO3 dan ZnO juga adanya puncak difraksi ZnWO4. Pada analisa SEM dapat diamati bahwa terdapat ukuran dan bentuk partikel yang tidak homogen. Komposit WO3-ZnO memiliki luas permukaan sebesar 110,7596 m2/g.

Rice Husk Silica-Coated Magnetic Particles As A Low Cost Support Material For Crude Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Lipase Immobilization

In this research, lipase produced from the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa was immobilized on rice husk silica-coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The process included the following steps: preparation of magnetic ferrosoferric oxide nanoparticles (NP), coating NP with silica from rice husk ash, activation with glutaraldehyde and covalent immobilization of lipase on the support. The synthesis of the nanoparticle was followed by characterization through FT-IR, XRD, and FE-SEM. The hydrolysis kinetics (using 4-Nitrophenyl palmitate as a substrate) of the immobilized lipase followed Michaelis-Menten model with a Vmax and a Km value of 4.0 mM.s-1 and 0.63 mM, respectively. The immobilized lipase showed better tolerance to extreme temperature and pH compared to free lipase. About 60% of enzyme remained immobilized after ten cycles of reuse and 68.13% of it were stable until 49 days. Thus the silica-coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles appeared to be a potential support material for lipase immobilization applications.

Modification has been done to the gas chromatograph by adding a de-ethanizer preparation tool that serves as the evaporation of liquid samples de-ethanizer gas from the LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) plant PT. Badak NGL Bontang, East Kalimantan. With the aim to obtain stable analysis results as required. From the results obtained for the repeatability value 0.104% methane component, 0.036% ethane component and 0.154% propane components and reproducibility values obtained for the methane component of 0.025%, 0.036% component ethane, and propane components 0.014%. Data analysis of the samples obtained test results are still below thelimit allowed by the method of GPA 2261-64 which found samples with good homogeneity so that the analysis becomes stable and the true value can be resposibility and laboratory as a Quality Control can keep reliability for LNG Plant.

Has been cassava rubber fermentation (M. carthagenensisMÜll) as a raw material for making ethanol with the utilization of fishcork albumin (Channastriata) as nitrogen Saccharomyces cerrevisiae with enzymatic hydrolysis result through 2 stages ieliquification using α-amylase and saccharification stage using gluco -amilase. The best reducing sugar content was obtained at 0.1307%. Based on this research, maximum ethanol content was obtained with 0.5% concentration of nutrient at fermentation time for 232 hours, obtained by result of 12,688% at 5.6 mL distillate volume using gas chromatography method.

Optimasi Sintesis Asam Lemak Hidroksamat Menggunakan Minyak Mentah Dedak Padi

Asam lemak hidroksamat (Fatty Hydroxamic Acids/FHA) telah berhasil di sintesis dari minyak mentah dedak padi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sintesis asam lemak hidroksamat dari minyak mentah dedak padi secara enzimatis dan menentukan kondisi optimumnya, yang meliputi tiga tahap pengerjaan yaitu tahap preparasi minyak, tahap optimasi sintesis dan tahap karakterisasi. Pada tahap preparasi minyak diperoleh rendemen minyak mentah dedak padi sebanyak 23%. Pada tahap optimasi didapatkan kondisi optimum untuk sintesis asam lemak hidroksamat dari minyak mentah dedak padi adalah pada suhu 35oC selama 25 jam dengan perbandingan lipase (gram) : hidroksilamin (mmol) sama dengan 1 : 500 dan perbandingan enzim lipase (gram) : minyak mentah dedak padi (gram) sama dengan 1 : 75. Jumlah gugus asam hidroksamat dalam 1 gram sampel kering asam lemak hidroksamat adalah 2,98 mmol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji warna dengan Cu(II) dan Fe(III) didapatkan warna kompleks yang khas untuk kedua logam tersebut dengan asam lemak hidroksamat yaitu warna hijau dan merah tua. Sedangkan dari analisis FTIR, didapatkan spektrum gugus fungsi asam hidroksamat.

Research about phytochemical, brine shrimp lethality and antibacterial activity tests in each fraction from kamboja leaves (Plumeria acuminate Ait.) from Loa Janan, East Kalimantan has been carried out. Plumeria acuminate Ait. leaves was extracted with ethanol and then concentrated by using rotary evaporator. The total extract was fractioned with n-hexane, and ethyl acetate. Based on the secondary metabolites phytochemical test of the Plumeria acuminate Ait. leaves show that total extract is contain alkaloid, steroid, and phenolic. n-hexane fraction is contain steroid. Ethyl acetate fraction is contain steroid. Ethanol-water fraction is contain alkaloid and phenolic. Brine shrimp lethality test exhibit mortality rate of Artemia salina (L) by Probit SAS analysis to determine lethal concentration 50% (LC 50 ) value. The test show that the most active was ethyl acetate fraction with LC 50 value of 44.7968 ppm. Antibacteria activity test of extracts for Staphylococcus aureus bacteria (positive Gram) and Escherichia coli (negative Gram) was carried out by paper disc method. The test showed that the most active were ethyl acetate fraction with minimum inhibitor consentration of 1.563% which clear zone diameter was 5.3 mm on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and 6.3 mm on Escherichia coli bacteria.

Anti-inflammatory activity test of extract and fraction of gaharu leaf (Aquilaria malaccensis Lamk.) against protein denaturation inhibition in vitro has been carried out. This study aims to determine the percent inhibition of protein denaturation and the strength of anti-inflammatory activity of the concentrated methanol extract, ethyl acetate fraction, and methanol-water fraction of gaharu leaves (Aquilaria malaccensis Lamk.). BSA (Bovine serum albumin) is used as the protein to be heated. Diclofenac sodium was used as the positive control, and the negative control used the appropriate solvent. Based on phytochemical screening tests, methanol extracts are known to contain secondary metabolites, including flavonoids, triterpenoids, steroids, and phenolics. The n-hexane fraction contains triterpenoid and steroid compounds. The ethyl acetate fraction contains flavonoid, triterpenoid, steroid, and phenolic compounds, while the methanol-water fraction contains flavonoid, triterpenoid and phenolic compounds. The results of the anti-inflammatory activity test of crude extract methanol and ethyl acetate fraction showed moderate antiinflammatory potential with IC50 values of 181.58- 168.87 ppm, respectively, while the methanol-water fraction has strong anti-inflammatory potential with IC50 value of 60.84 ppm.

Eugenol is the active molecule naturally found in clove oil. The calculations have been done for the eugenol and its derivatives computationally. This computational calculation aims to obtain a stable structure and electronic properties of eugenol, methyl eugenol, and acetyl eugenol. The computational calculation used DFT for geometry optimization in the gas phase using B3LYP functional and 6-31G(d) as the basis set. The optimized structure of eugenol and its derivatives is not planar. The presence of methoxy replacing hydroxy increases the bond length and decreases the bond angle and the dihedral. The electronic properties such as atomic charge and density of HOMO-LUMO show the difference between the three molecules.

The method used was maceration, fractionation and column chromatography and was identified using Fourier Transformra Infra Red (FT-IR). The phytochemical preliminary test of the n-hexane fraction contains the steroid secondary metabolite compound. The results of column chromatography produced 75 vial bottles which were then identified by thin layer chromatography and produced 8 combined fractions (A-H fraction) based on the similarity of characterization, from the 8 fractions D and E forming yellow crystals. The yellow crystals formed are then cleaned and recrystallized to produce 11.7 mg white amorphous crystals. Compounds are characterized by FTIR spectrometers. Based on FTIR analysis, isolates showed IR spectrum λ max cm-1: 3375; 2927,98; 2852,18; 1680; 1462,51; 1376.81; 1329.74; 1043,92; 1022.02 and 956.27. Based on the results obtained by isolates, it is suspected that the compound is a steroid sterol.

The aims of this research was to decrease the level chromium and TSS in the laboratory wastewater liquid sample PT SUCOFINDO by using calcium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide. Precipitation process was done by reacting the wastewater sample and solution Ca(OH)2 0,2 and NaOH 1 M at pH variation 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, then allowed to settle for 24 hours and established the optimal pH at both solution was used in the precipitation process. Analysis content of Cr metal at this research using AAS instrument and analysis for content of TSS in this research using gravimetric method. The optimal pH precipitation to decrease Cr metal and TSS level is 8 in each of the solution used. Cr metal level after precipitation using Ca(OH)2 solution at pH 8 is 0.0901 mg/L and TSS level is 0.005 mg/L. Cr metal level after precipitation using NaOH at pH 8 is 0.0935 mg/L and TSS level is 0.008 mg/L. If compared with level decrease of Cr metal and TSS in laboratory wastewater using Ca(OH)2 and NaOH solution, and found the effectiveness of solution that have better efficiency to reduce levels of Cr and TSS in the low concentration is calcium hydroxide.

Research on phytochemical test and toxicity tests of leaf extract of Gliricidia (Gliricidia sepium) as an insecticide plant have been conducted.. Gliricidia leaves macerated dried samples using ethanol and fractionated using a solvent n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Phytochemical test showed that it contains alkaloids, steroids, triterpenoids, phenolic and flavonoid in total extract. N-hexane fraction containing steroids, triterpenoids and the phenolic. Ethyl acetate fraction containing steroids, triterpenoids, flavonoids, phenolic and saponin. Toxicity test method Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) showed that the ethyl acetate fraction had the highest toxicity on shrimp larvae with LC50 values of 49.29 ppm. Test Activity as an insecticide plant conducted in animal infestation of rice (Sitophylusorizae Leach) Value LC50 is determined using a regression line between log concentration and probit mortality, the LC50 obtained is 2.831%. Analysis of the content of chemical compounds in the ethyl acetate fraction from the leaves of Gliricidia produces 9 peak component compounds at mass spectra are shown from the results of GC-MS with 2 peaks compound dominant that serves as an insecticide plant them 2-(3H)-Benzofuranone, 3-methyl and dl-Limonene

Analysis method for determining Pb content in natural honey have been developed and validated. Research was done by analyzing one natural honey sample collected from Teritip (Balikpapan) with standard analysis method and three developed analysis method which their analytical performance tested later. Pb content was determined with atomic absorption spectrometry after dry digestion (method A) or wet digestion (method B (HNO3-H2O2; 3:8), C (HNO3-H2O2; 2:1) and D (HNO3)). Analytical performance parameter e. G. Linearity, working range, limit of detection, limit of quantitation, precision and accuracy were tested. Content of Pb in natural honey sample which analyzed with method A, B, C and D were found at 0.7923 ± 0.0311 µg/g, 0.7944 ± 0.0216 µg/g, 0.7998 ± 0.0218 µg/g and 0.7912 ± 0.0160 µg/g respectively. Analytical performance of four tested analytical method were still acceptable. Significance testing result showed that there were no significant differences in precision and accuracy between developed analysis method and standard analysis method, execpt for method D. Precision of method D was significantly better than standard analysis method.

The adsorption of cadmium (Cd2+) by palm shell carbon (Arenga pinnata) activated carbon have been researched. This research is aim to find the effects of pH value, contact time and concentration. In this research, the variations of pH value was (2 – 7), contact time (5 – 70 minutes) and concentration (1,5 – 3,5 mg/L) were applied. The determination of cadmium concentration used an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The result of this research shows that pal shell activated carbon could adsorp metal ion Cd 2+ . The optimum condition was achieved at the pH 3 with a capacity factor of adsorbent was 2,372 mg/L or 94,92%, contact time was 30 minutes with a capacity factor of adsorbent was 2,327 mg/L or 93,12% and concentration was achieved at the concentration 3,5 mg/L with a capacity factor of adsorbent was 3,321 mg/L or 94,91%.

Validation method of ammonia (NH3) determination in ambient air with the ion-selective electrode (ESI) method has been carried out. The purpose of this study is to determine linearity, accuracy, precision, method detection limits, and selectivity. The performance characteristics of the method are determined using standard ammonium chloride solutions. The instrument used to detect ammonia levels is the ion analyzer. The results in the linearity test show an r2 value of 0.9999. Accuracy test results show recovery values in the range of 88.86 to 100.48%. The precision of this method has a value of % RSD smaller than 2/3 CV Horwitz.. The detection limit value of the method was 0.0224 mg/L. The presence of interference ions such as SO2 and NO2 does not affect the measurement of ammonia concentrations. The results of the validation test show that the method used can be used to determine ammonia concentrations in ambient air.

The research about adsorption concentration of iron, manganese, pH, COD, BOD and TSS at well water using baggase as adsorbent material. The content of iron and manganese was determined using AAS; pH using pH meter; COD and BOD using titration method; TSS using gravimetry me. The results of research showed the best percentage of decrease was use of baggase activated with KOH, can be showed in the reduction of iron was 42.80%, manganese 94.93%, pH 8.45%, COD 24.75%, BOD 32.21%, TSS 2.88%, the percentage of recovery of iron 98.05% and manganese 88.31%.

The research about utilization of ethanol extract form leafkecapi (Sandoricum koetjape (Burm.f.)Merr.)has been done, it proved could decrease total cholesterol levels in male mice (Mus musculus). In this research sample macerated with ethanol 96% and then concentrated by rotary evaporator, and gained 15.6% of yield. Based on the results of phytochemical test, secondary metabolites compound that contained in bark kecapi are alkaloid, flavonoid, triterpenoid, steroid, phenolic and saponin. On antihiperkolesterolemia activity test by using male mice, there are several treatments that negative control (-), positive control (+) and three treatment with different doses i.e. a low doses (9.5 mg/kg BB), middle doses (19 mg/kg BB) and high doses (38 mg/kg BB). The parameter measured was blood serum of male mice by using a Cholesterol Test Strips. From this test it showed that the effectiveness of decreased total cholesterol level doses of 19 mg/kg BB showed total cholesterol level under 100 mg/dL.

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh tembaga(II) dan kadmium(II) terhadap persen ekstraksi merkuri(II) menggunakan emulsi membran cair tipe W/O bersurfaktan ganda dengan benzoil aseton sebagai pembawa kation. Kondisi optimum yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Emulsi dibuat dengan menggunakan campuran surfaktan span-80 & span-20 = 2%, laju emulsifikasi = 2000 rpm selama 10 menit, rasio volume fasa membran/fasa internal = 1, konsentrasi HNO3 dalam fasa internal = 2M. Ekstraksi dilakukan terhadap larutan 30 ppm merkuri sebagai fasa eksternal dengan pH = 2 dan laju ekstraksi 300 rpm selama 10 menit serta rasio volume fasa eksternal/emulsi = 7, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstraksi merkuri(II) dengan emulsi membran cair, relatif selektif terhadap tembaga(II) dan kadmium(II). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan tembaga(II) dan kadmium(II) hingga 30 ppm, menurunkan persen ekstraksi merkuri(II) berturut-turut 12,12% dan 11,74%.

The phytochemical tests and toxicity test extract from petals of kepok banana flowers (Musa paradisiaca Linn.) have been researched. The method used is Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). According the results of phytochemicals test from petals of the kepok banana flowers (Musa paradisiaca Linn.) contains compounds metabolite secondary which is alkaloids, saponin and triterpenoid. The toxicity test showed the most active fraction is the ethanol fraction with 304.8067 ppm of LC50 values.

Research on the determination of Pb 2+ ions (lead)in hair repair shop employee in the city of Samarinda. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the concentration of lead ions in the workshop employees hair against old age and work. Measurements of Pb 2+ ions (lead) was performed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Hair cut into small pieces, washed, crushed or burned into ashes and homogenized and analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results obtained from the measurement and analysis of Pb 2+ ions concentration in hair repair shop employee is 0.2193 ppm and 0.3665 ppm lowest to highest. At the workshop employees there is a relationship between age and levels of Pb 2+ ions (lead) in the hair, while there was no correlation between long working white Pb, it’s based on a statistical analysis of the results of the determination coefficient and linear regression.

Indonesia adalah negara yang menyimpan kekayaan sumber daya hayati, terutama buah tropika. Tingginya keragaman tanaman buah di Indonesia menghasilkan berbagai manfaat untuk kesehatan, di antara lain sebagai antioksidan. Tidak hanya terdapat dibuah, kulit buah juga mengandung antioksidan untuk kesehatan. Manfaat antioksidan bagi tubuh di antaranya untuk melindungi sel-sel tubuh dari kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh radikal bebas. Senyawa radikal bebas terdapat dalam lingkungan kehidupan sehari-hari manusia. Polusi udara merupakan salah satu contoh sumber radikal bebas. Sumber radikal bebas lainnya yaitu racun, paparan sinar matahari berlebih, asap rokok, makanan yang digoreng, dan obat-obat tertentu. Tujuan dari literature review ini adalah untuk mengetahui metabolit sekunder dan aktivitas antioksidan yang terdapat pada limbah kulit buah sebagai mengakal radikal bebas. Metode yang digunakan dalam karya tulis ini penelusuran pustaka melalui database Google dan Google Scholar dengan menggunakan keyword. Jurnal yang telah ditemukan dilakukan screening dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Berdasarkan hasil dari berbagai penelusuran yang dicantumkan dalam artikel menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan yang tinggi terdapat pada limbah kulit buag naga yaitu nilai IC50 adalah 2,69 ppm.

Cinnamomum burmanii (Nees n’ Th. Nees) Blume, Cinnamomum culilaban (L.) J.S. Presl dan Cryptocarpa massoy (Oken) Kosterm are a rare plant species that grow in Indonesia. Species with this same of genus (Cinnamomum) is a potential in the field of medicine, but the comparison of the composition and concentration of the chemical content has not been known so their utilization in medical applications is not optimal. Therefore, the research was conducted in order to analyze of chemical compounds in ethyl acetate extracts phase of three plants by chromatography, They were the HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography), and GC-MS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) analysis. The analysis was done of the ethyl acetate extract phase in order to identify of chemical compounds which largely composed of essential oils. Based on the results of HPLC analysis, with using by the reference standards of eugenol showed that in Cinnamomum burmanii and Cinnamomum culilaban (L.) J.S. Presl identified contain of eugenol essential oils, 0.18% and 3.11% respectively. Based on the result of GC-MS analysis, Cinnamomum burmanii was found two components of chemical compounds main with the largest og percentage, They were sinamaldehid (90.24%) and coumarin (53.46%) compounds. On the Cinnamomum culilaban (L.) J.S. Presl was found four components of chemical compounds main, They were metileugenol (40.68%), verbanone (14.58%), terpinol (8.74%) and spathulenol (8.12%) compounds. Later in the Cryptocarpa massoy (Oken) Kosterm was found three components of chemical compounds main, They were massoyalakton (73.64%), butanoat acid (12.25%) and pentadekanoat acid (9.76%) compounds.

The study aims to find secondary metabolites isolated from leave of pucuk merah (Syzygium Myrtifilium Walp). Phytochemical preliminary test of ethyl acetate fraction contained alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic and triterpenoids, while the results of phytochemical test against stains 2 ethyl acetate fraction showed a positive test result contains the alkaloid compounds and compounds phenolic. The results of the analysis using cluster bonding FT-IR emergence OH (Hydroksi), C-H (Aromatic), CH3 (Aliphatic), and CO Ether, whereas the MS chromatograms obtained peak (peak) which have a similarity value above 90% according to willey09th.L database. estimates of the results of the analysis can be concluded that the stain 2 ethyl acetate fraction is estimated compound 2,4-di-tersier-butyl-fenol.

This research is based on the fact that many rivers in East Kalimantan are complained to be polluted by coal mining activities even though many rules to protect surface waters are in place and obeyed. To explain why it is happened, an audit is conducted to the regulations and to the implementation of the regulations. Desk audit is carried out to assess whether the regulations about waste assimilative capacity and effluent limitation that are currently endorsed are appropriate or not compared to the TMDL concept. The audit of implementation is carried out to assess whether the regulations are applied thoroughly or not. The results is that the technical regulations to determine the class of water and to allocation waste load are absent.
Therefore, many regulations related the water quality based effluent limitation are not implemented properly. Most of effluent limitation refer directly to the national or provincial standards that are usually less stringent than the water quality based standard of the local rivers or small rivers. The case study in Loa Haur River obtains that the waste assimilative capacity of the river is 33.696 ton of TSS/day. The WAC that is allocated to 6 (six) coal mining in the sub basin of Loa Haur is 5 ton/day. The allocation is based on their production capacity. The results of water quality based effluent limitation of coal mining companies in the Loa Haur sub basin is 0.17 ton TSS/day or its concentration of 114.63 mg/L.

Phytochemical and antibacterial activity assay of methanol extract from Suji leaves (Pleomele angustifolia) were carried out. The aims of this study are to determine secondary metabolites and antibacterial activity of the methanol extract against Streptococcus sobrinus KCCM 11898 and Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175 by using agar well diffusion. The results showed that methanol extract of suji leaves contain phenolic, triterpenoid and steroid constituents. With 2%, the methanol extract displayed antibacterial activity against Streptococcus sobrinus and Streptococcus mutans with diameter inhibition zones of 19.0 and 10.3 mm, respectively.

Hydrogen is an alternative energy source for fossil fuels. One of molecules that have an ability to store hydrogen is Semibuckminsterfullerene. This study was conducted to find out the optimum distance in adding hydrogen and the phenomenon of energy produced when adding hydrogen from 10 molecules to 100 molecules. Semibuckminsterfullerene was calculated using Density Functional Theory method, B3LYP with a basis set of 6-31G*. The optimum distance of Semibuckminsterfullerene with hydrogen was 3 ? Furthermore, the results of adding hydrogen from 10 to 100 molecules showed a decrease in energy due to the bowl-shaped structure of Semibuckminsterfullerene

Isolation and characterization of terpenoid compounds from ethyl acetate fraction of Macaranga beccariana Merr. have been done. The separation process at ethyl acetate fraction using gravity column chromatography with gradient elution method. The obtained isolates were tested for purity using thin layer chromatography with various eluents namely n-hexane, chloroform, methanol, acetone and ethyl acetate with Rf values 0; 0.75; 0.80; 0.87 and 0.97 respectively. The terpenoids which were successfully isolated were white crystals with a mass of 0.0119 grams. UV analysis produced 1 peak at l 207.03 nm. Analysis of compounds with FT-IR indicated the functional groups O-H, aliphatic C-H, aliphatic C=C, C-O and C=O. Based on the results of the UV and FT-IR spectrum, the isolate compounds were thought to contain terpenoids.

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisa Pb(II) pada lobster (Panulirus sp) dengan metode adisi standar spektrofotometer UV-Vis menggunakan pengompleks ditizon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar ion logam Pb(II) pada lobster (Panulirus sp) dengan metode adisi standar menggunakan pengompleks ditizon. Analisa kadar ion.logam Pb(II) dengan pengompleks ditizon menggunakan spektrofotometer uv-vis sebelum menggunakan metode adisi standar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar ion logam Pb(II) sebesar 0,215 ppm sedangkan pada penelitian menggunakan metode adisi standar kadar Pb(II) sebesar 1,210 ppm.

Bioetanol merupakan etanol atau senyawa alkohol yang diperoleh melalui proses fermentasi biomassa dengan bantuan mikroorganisme yang bisa digunakan sebagai bahan bakar alternatif, minyak bumi dan energi lain yang berasal dari fosil. Sumber energi tersebut semakin menipis jika tidak ditemukan energi cadangan/alternatif. Untuk mengantisipasi sumber energi nasional yang semakin menipis, maka diperlukan energi terbarukan. Beberapa peneliti menemukan bahwa banyak limbah yang digunakan sebagai bahan bakar alternatif. Salah satu untuk menghasilkan bioetanol yang berkualitas sebagai pengganti energi alternatif adalah memiliki kadar bioetanol yang sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia serta syarat kualitasnya. Tujuan dari literature review ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai kadar bioetanol dari setiap jenis limbah dengan berbagai macam tahapan yang digunakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah penelusuran pustaka melalui database Google, Google Scholar serta Science Direct dengan menggunakan keyword. Jurnal yang telah ditemukan dilakukan screening dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Berdasarkan hasil dari berbagai penelusuran yang dicantumkan dalam artikel ini didapatkan bahwa kadar bioetanol yang terbaik yaitu pada produksi bioetanol dari limbah tepung tapioka melalui penambahan starter dan lama fermentasi. Kadar bioetanol yang dihasilkan sebesar 92% dengan lama fermentasi 7 hari. Bioetanol ini diperoleh melalui proses Sakarifikasi, hidrolisis, Fermentasi, serta distilasi. Setelah melewati hari ke-7 fermentasi.

Isolation and identification of secondary metabolites from ethyl acetate fraction of rhizomes of Temu Hitam (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb.) have been done. The separation of ethyl acetate fraction and further seperation were performed using gravity column chromatography with n-hexane and ethyl acetate (9.5:0.5-3:7) as solvent systems to obtain the isolate (oil;0.0216 g). Based on UV analysis of isolate, the result showed 1 peak at ? 206.14 nm. In addition, the FT-IR spectra indicated the presence of functional groups of OH, aliphatic C-H, C=O and C-O. According to the result of the UV and FT-IR spectra, the isolate can be identified as terpenoid.

Interesterification of castor oil with methanol using base catalyst gave mixture of fatty acid methyl esther (FAME) castor oil. Methyl risinoleate as major composition of methyl esther castor oil was subjected to column chromatography using petroleum ether:diethyl ether (19:1, v/v) as eluent, to give yield 73%. Amidation of methyl risinoleate with ethylendiamine under refluks condition using benzene as solvent for ± 12 hours and catalyst NaOCH3, gave 1,3–Dirisinoleil-Etilendiamida compound and 59% yield. The reactioned product 1,3–Dirisinoleil-Etilendiamida has been confirmed its structure using FT-IR spectroscopy, and Hidrofile Lipofile Balance (HLB) value was determined by titration method 12,56

The isolation of steroid compounds from the bark of Andong plant (Cordyline fructicosa [L] A. Cheval) that come from Samarinda have been done. Their air-dried powdered from bark of Andong plant (Cordyline fructicosa [L] A. Cheval) (250 gram) were extracted by methanol at room temperature (27oC) and fractioned with n-hexane-water (1:1). Separation of steroid compounds in n-hexane fraction by column chromatography with silica gel 60 (35-70 mesh) based on the Isocratic method and produce six fractions, that fractions were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 fractions. Fraction 3 gave a blue fluorescent staining that was observed after under UV light and with the Lieberman Burchard produces a green stain, then the fraction 3 was tested for steroid and produces a blue color indicates a positive steroid that has a yield of 0.0536 gram. Purification of the fraction 3 produces greenish-yellow crystals with Rf value of 0.72 with eluent chloroform (100%) while the value of Rf in n-hexane = 0.68 and Rf in ethyl acetate = 0.42. the UV-Vis spectrum of the crystalline isolate results provide absorption at wavelenght of 252 nm, 263 nm and 334 nm. While the result of FT-IR spectrum gives absorption at wave numbers: 689.63; 768.03; 800.79; 901.81; 977.32; 1052.32; 1201.45; 1273.35; 1358.76; 1463.11; 1662.32; 2853.02; 2926.19; 3056.42 and 3456.33. The bark of Andong plant (Cordyline fructicosa [L] A. Cheval) contains steroid compounds.

Telah dilakukan penelitian isolasi dan identifikasi senyawa kimia dari ekstrak n-heksan batang benalu tanaman jeruk (Dendrophtoe pentandra (L.) Miq.). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode maserasi dengan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat, etanol dan air, uji fitokimia, uji mortalitas larva udang dengan metode BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) serta isolasi dengan kromatografi kolom dan identifikasi dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer Fourier Transform Infra Red (FT-IR) dan Kromatografi Gas – Spektrometri Massa (KG-SM). Dari hasil uji mortalitas larva udang didapatkan bahwa ekstrak n-heksan adalah ekstrak yang paling aktif kemudian dilanjutkan pada proses isolasi dan diperoleh isolat n-heksan 3.2 yang memiliki nilai toksisitas (LC50) sebesar 92,197 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan spektrofotometer FT-IR dan KG-SM senyawa kimia yang diduga terdapat dalam ekstrak n-heksan batang benalu tanaman jeruk (Dendrophtoe pentandra (L.) Miq.) adalah senyawa Stigmasterol.

The regulation of Indonesian Health Ministry number 007 of 2012 about traditional medicines registration explained that traditional medicines are prohibited from containing Drug Chemicals (DC). The aim of the study was to identify the DC of dexamethasone in Agency Fattening Herbs sold in Shopee e-marketplace. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid drug used as an anti-inflammatory agent. Long-term use can cause a hormonal effect, iatrogenic chusing syndrome. This study was a qualitative descriptive using thin layer chromatography (TLC). The mobile phase used to identify dexamethasone in this study was Ethyl acetate: Toluen: Methanol (45 : 54: 1) and the solvent used was Chloroform: Methanol (9 : 1). Many of the samples tested were 3, namely X, Y and Z. The results of TLC formed purple stain spots on all three samples that were parallel to the comparison on 254 nm UV light. The price of dexamethasone comparison Rf is 0.53. The Rf value of the sample X was 0.34. The Rf value of sample Z is 0.53. The calculation results of Rf value were analyzed by SPSS with a significant value (p ≤ 0.001). The analysis was continued by the Duncan test to show groups that had differences. Of the three samples Agency Fattening Herbs tested two of them (X and Z) containing Dexamethasone whereas one (Y) does not has Dexamethasone.

Antibacterial tests of Ag/SBA-15 from petung bamboo leaf ash against Escherichia coli were carried out. Modification of SBA-15 with Ag was conducted using the wet impregnation method while the antibacterial test was carried out by well diffusion method and disc diffusion method with various concentrations of Ag/SBA-15. The Ag/SBA-15 has a surface area of ​​143 m2/g, pore diameter of 8.4 nm and pore volume of 0.35 cm3/g. The SAXS pattern of Ag /SBA-15 showed 3 typical SBA-15 peaks in the 0o -2o 2θ range with the miller index [100], [110] and [200], indicating modification with Ag did not change the hexagonal structure of SBA-15. Ag / SBA-15 material has the potential as an antibacterial agent for Escherichia coli; the inhibitory zone diameters for the well diffusion method and disc diffusion method were 7.00 ± 0.57 mm and 13.16 ± 0.16 mm, respectively. Increasing the concentration of Ag/SBA-15 samples resulted in greater inhibitory zone diameters for the bacteria.

Tiga senyawa flavanon , 4’-O-metil-8-isoprenileriodiktiol (1), 4’-O-metil-8-isoprenilnaringenin (2) and Lonkokarpol A (3) , telah diisolasi dari ekstrak metanol daun Macaranga pearsonii Merr. Elusidasi struktur senyawa berdasarkan data spektroskopi UV, 1D and 2D NMR, and HREISMS. Senyawa 1 – 3 ditentukan aktivitas antioksidannya terhadap peredaman radikal bebas 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), dengan nilai IC50 adalah 536,89 μM, 1226,11 μM dan 426,43 μM.

Candida Albicans and Aspergillus Niger are some of the infectious fungi. Empirically bark, flower, root and mangrove leaves Rhizophora mucronata can be a hepatitis drug. This study aims to determine the antifungal potential of methanol extract of Rhizophora mucronata leaves to Candida Albicans and Aspergillus Niger fungus. Chemical test results that have been done previously are alkaloids, Flavanoid , triterpenoids, saponins, tannins and hydroquinone phenols. The antifungal test was performed by agar diffusion method on Potatos Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium and paper disc.Paper disc soaked in methanolic extract of Rhizophora mucronatapada leaf concentration 1000 ppm, 800 ppm, 600 ppm, 400 ppm and 200 ppm. The positive control solution used ketokenazole drug and negative control using aquades with incubation period of 3 x 24 hours. The results did not prove that Rhizophora mucronata leaf methanol extract was effective to inhibit antifungal activity against Candida Albicans and Aspergillus Niger fungi.

The research about analysis of caffeine content on coffee Robusta (Toraja) and coffee Arabika (Jawa) with cycle variations using spectrophotometer UV has been done. Coffee extract obtained through
soxhletation with ethanol 96 % and variation cycles used is 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15, tested with spectrophotometer UV at a wavelength of 272 nm. The result of this research was obtained the caffeine content in coffee Robusta (Toraja) for 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 cycles consecutive is 1.439 mg/L, 2.158 mg/L, 2.695 mg/L, 2.887 mg/L and 3.700 mg/L. The caffeine content obtained coffee Arabika (Jawa) for 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 cycles consecutive is 0.474 mg/L, 0.478 mg/L, 1.056 mg/L, 1.540 mg/L and 1.926 mg/L respectively.

The total sulfur analysis in the feed gas sample by using standard gas and liquid has been researched. The concentration of total sulfur obtained from a calibration curve by using standard gas or liquid by TS - 100V. Based on the analysis of measurement linearity, by making curve a linearity from a standard gas H 2 S was 0.999 and standard liquid dibutyl sulfide was 0.998, where both the standard curve can be as a calibration curve because each the value of the correlation coefficient (r) having worth >0.995. Based on the analysis of measurement precision namely repeatability by measuring a feed gas sample train G as many as 5 times been gained. RSD value was 4.17 in standard gas and 4.70 in standard liquid. Both the calibration curve has been accepted because the relative standard deviation values less than 0.67 from Horwitz and still into get allowed range values from 7.3 to 11%. Based on the analysis of accuracy’s measurement is percent recovery for the standard gas was 100.578% and for standard liquid was 104.380%. Both of them has been accepted because it still fit in the allowed range values 80-110%.

Mother-in-law's tongue leaves (Sansevieria trifasciata P.) is a plant of the genus Sansevieria with flavonoid compound namely trifasciatin, as an antioxidant. Antioxidants can be used in cosmetics to protect the skin from free radicals. The purpose of this research was to analyze antioxidant activity of mother-in-law's tongue leaves extract and to obtain the best lotion formulation with various concentrations. Samples were extracted using 96% ethanol solvent with maceration method. Antioxidant activity was tested using DPPH method and intensity was measured at λ=517 nm by UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The IC50 value=49.72 ppm indicates a very strong antioxidant activity, compared to vitamin C=4.01 ppm (very strong). Extract was formulated in lotion with various concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, 3%, 6% and the comparison was vitamin C with same concentration as well as base without the addition of active substances. Based on observations for 4 weeks, 3% extract lotion is the best formulation. The organoleptic test results showed no change in shape, texture, color, odor, and pH so lotion was stable. In addition, the value of viscosity, spreadability, adhesion, irritation test according to established standards also has an antioxidant value 99.72% (strong category). So effective to ward off free radicals on the skin.

Synthesis of dialdehyde alginate has been done by oxidation reactions of sodium alginate with sodium metaperiodate (ratio of mol 1: 1). The formation of dialdehyde alginate as a result of oxidation are characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy with a peak absorption at 1627.92 cm-1, which is the vibration stretching C = O of functional groups from the aldehyde group resulting from the -OH group oxidation process, the absorption peak is changing its wavelength and intensity more sharply compared to initial sodium alginates. In addition, the C-O-C band (cyclic ether ) at 1033 cm-1 are reduced as a result of chains cleavage. The absorption peaks that appear at 794.67 cm-1 and 732.95 cm-1 are included in the bond CH which contributes to cleavage the bending C-C of oxidized sodium alginate.

The analysis of changes in levels of copper (Cu) on the addition of silver ions (Ag) with electrocoagulation method has been researched by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) as an instrument for the determination of levels. The addition of ionic silver (Ag) in a solution of copper (Cu) using varying concentrations of silver (Ag) 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 ppm. The results showed that the effect of the addition of ionic silver (Ag) 4,6, 8, 10 and 12 resulted in changes in the levels of copper (Cu) are deposited successively in the ppm concentration is 9.375; 9.324; 9.272; 9.168; 9.142 and 9.116. Metalcontentof silver(Ag) in a medium containing copper (Cu) with a variety of metallic silver( Ag) differentat 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12ppm after the electrocoagulation metal contentof silver(Ag) depositedin the amount3.99; 5.99; 7.96; 9.91 and 11.88ppm.

Phytochemical, toxicity and antibacterial activity tests of total extract, fractions of n-heksana, ethyl acetate and ethanol-water from mara leaf (Macaranga tanarius (L.) M.A) from Samboja, East Kalimantan has been carried out. Based on the secondary metabolites phytochemical test of the (Macaranga tanarius (L.) M.A) leaf show that total extract is contain alkaloid, flavonoid, phenolic and steroid. n-hexane fraction is contain alkaloid, flavonoid and steroid. Ethyl acetate fraction is contain phenolic and triterpenoid. Ethanol-water fraction is contain alkaloid and phenolic. Brine shrimp lethality test values obtained Lethal Concentration 50 % (LC50) total extract 23.99 ppm , n-heksana fraction 13,93 ppm, ethyl acetate fraction 468,25 ppm and ethanol-water fraction 283,67 ppm. Antibacteria activity test of extracts for Staphylococcus aureus bacteria (positive Gram) and Escherichia coli (negative Gram) was carried out by paper disc method. The test showed that the most active were ethyl acetate fraction with minimum inhibitor consentration of 0,125- 0,5 % (b/v) which clear zone diameter was 7,25 mm on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and 6,25 mm on Escherichia coli bacteria.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengisolasi dan menguji aktivitas antikanker senyawa pterokarpan dari kulit batang Spatholobus ferrugineus (Zoll. & Moritzi) Benth terhadap MCF-7 yaitu sel kanker payudara. Terdapat dua senyawa turunan pterokarpan yang berhasil diisolasi yaitu senyawa variabilin (1) and medikarpin (2). Kedua senyawa tersebut dikarakterisasi dengan instrument 1D dan 2D NMR yang menyatakan bahwa kedua senyawa yang berhasil diisolasi adalah senyawa 1 dan 2. Senyawa 1 dan 2 menunjukkan aktivitas antikanker dengan nilai IC50 2,73 dan 14,36 μg/mL.
Kata kunci : pterokarpan, antikanker, Spatholobus ferrugineus, MCF-7.

A research about reduction of COD and TSS from laundry waste with Electrocoagulation method using Al and Cu electrodes in COD and TSS reduction parameters has been done. In this research, the voltage and optimum time determited based on occurred in electrocoagulation process. The determination of COD and TSS in the contact time was 60 minutes with the value of COD was 90.5645% and TSS 63.7279%. The value of voltage optimum was 12 Volt, obtain COD was 90.2392% and TSS 60.7052%.

The Isolation of phenolic compound in methanol-water fraction from Myrmecodia tuberosa Jack that come from Bulungan have been done. The air-dried powdered from corm of ant plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa Jack) (250 gram) were extracted by methanol at room temperature (27 oC) and fractioned with n-hexane then ethyl acetate. Partition of phenolic compounds in Methanol-Water fraction was chromatographed on silica gel column (35–70 mesh) that eluted with Isocratic method and gave 10 fractions as a result, that fractions were A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I dan J fraction. C; E; G and H (alliance fraction) gave the best spot partitioned and the spot was not fluorescence. Purification of alliance fraction gave yellow-brown crystal with retention factor 0.52 that eluted with methanol : ethyl acetat (8:2) whereas the retention factor in methanol 0.82 and ethyl acetate 0,33. Infrared spectrum of alliance fraction shown absorption at value : 3351.83; 2945.33; 2833.04; 1741.00; 1451.60; 1215.67; 885.74 and 776.74 cm-1 with melting point 224 - 228oC. UV and Visible spectrum of alliance fraction shown wavelength at value 263 and 334 nm. Phenolic compounds in Methanol-Water fraction from the corm of ant plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa Jack) was predictioned as phenolic compound of flavonoid group.

Antioxidant are defined as compound that is capable of delay, postpone or prevent oxidation reaction, such as on foods and drugs. Antioxidant can be found in nature but the used is relatively limited because hydrophilic. This research aims to modified natural antioxidant so as be used in lipophilic media. Methyl laurate is one of a fatty acid ester potentialy can be used in industry. Modified were made by synthesize of methyl laurate and ascorbic acid through transesterification with catalyst is lipase from sesame seeds (Sesamun indicum L.) in a organic solvent such as acetone. Transesterification process does on reacton time at 36 hours at temperature (40-50) ºC and pH is 7 so has yield produced is 53,89 %. The result is ascorbyl laurate identified of the functional groups using by FT-IR spectrophotometer. Based on the result identification of the functional groups by FT-IR spectrophotometer, then do the analysis of antioxidant activity with a Radical Reduction Method DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhidrazyl). Antioxidant activity value IC50 is 40,57 ppm. This result indicated the potential of ascorbyl laurate as antioxidant.

The flavonoid had been isolated from ethyl acetate extract of Kerehau leaf (Callicarpa longifolia Lam.). Extraction was done by maceration and fraction method. Isolation of pure compound was done by chromatographic flash coloumn. The resulted of isolated flavonoid was yellow greeness powder and 174-178°C melting point. Based on data IR can be conclude that isolated compound is flavonol group. Effect of toxicity from isolate identified with presentage of prawn larva (BSLT method) and counted by probit analysis (LC 50 ). The results of this test showed that the the isolate was very toxic with LC 50 value of 26,8824 ppm.

Acute Toxicity Test Of P-Metoxicynamic Acid Synthetic From Ethyl P-Methysicynamate

Kencur (Kaempferia galanga L.) is a plant that grows in Indonesia and is often used as a traditional spice. The main content of Kencur is ethyl p-methoxycinamic has a mild level of toxicity. Hydrolysis results from Ethyl p-methoxycinamic namely p-methoxycinamic acid have been widely studied as having antibacterial activity against S. aureus with MIC of 125 ppm. P-methoxycinamic acid has anti-inflammatory activity, topical anti-inflammatory power of 8.7% p-methoxycinamic acid based on molar equality with 1% Na-diclofenac. Cinnamic acid compounds have greater potential as an inhibitor of cervical cancer cells compared to methyl cinnamon because they have more hydrogen bonds. Hydrolysis of ethyl p-methoxycinamic to p-methoxycinamic acid has been carried out, then identification tests have been carried out covering the melting distance obtained values ​​of 172–173ºC. The results of TLC analysis with the mobile phase of methanol: acetone (2: 1) p-methoxycinamic acid compound gave an Rf value of: 0.67. The results of infrared spectrum analysis of hydrolysis compounds provide information on the presence of specific functional groups, namely carbonyl groups of acids (C = O) which are shown by the absorption band at wave number 1690.49 cm-1. Hydrogen bonding in carboxylic acid dimers weakens the C = O bond, resulting in absorption at lower wave numbers. In this spectrum CO groups of acids are shown at absorption of 1029.92 cm-1, aromatic C = C groups are shown by uptake at wave numbers 1602.74 cm-1 and 1627.81 cm-1, while bands at wave number 828.37 cm-1 indicates the presence of para-substituted aromatic nuclei. Acute toxicity test of p-methoxycinamic acid compound which was carried out in a span of 24 hours showed that p-methoxycinamic acid had a moderate level of toxicity.

Abstract
Analysis of rhodamine B in tomato sauce which is distributed in Samarinda city have been done. The identification are used chromatography paper and spectrophotometer UV-Vis in wavelength of 553nm. The result of research are showed in 5 of 20 samples that identified are positive of rhodamin B, which is tomato sauce in spring rools are 2.865 mg/L, tomato sauce in sausage are 2.033 mg/L, tomato sauce in meatball snacks are 2.008 mg/L, tomato sauce in cireng snacks are 1.058 mg/L, and the tomato sauce in tofu snacks 1.756 mg/L.

Identifikasi Potensi Jeruk Purut Sebagai Demulsifier Untuk Memisahkan Air Dari Emulsi Minyak di Lapangan Minyak Riau

Emulsion stability is an indicator that needs to be controlled to prevent the degradation of petroleum quality. Emulsion breakdown is one of the mechanisms to separate the water phase from oil. It is transformed into a chemical compound that is expected to function as emulsion blocking or commonly known as a demulsifier. An organic demulsifier is one of the right ideas in preventing environmental pollution without diminishing its main function as an emulsion breaker. The bottle test method is one of the most commonly used methods in demulsification tests. Testing using this method is done by inserting the prepared emulsion into the bottle, then it will be placed into a waterbath under certain temperature conditions for several hours. This test will be done by looking at the demulsification that occurs every 30 minutes. From the testing of temperature, concentration, and effectiveness of the formulated formula, an optimal condition is obtained based on the highest demulsification efficiency. Based on the research, optimal condition of organic demulsifier formula is (3ml, 80˚C) with 7 ml demulsification efficiency. The results obtained from organic material formulations have not been able to increase the effectiveness of emulsion-breaking processes compared to commercial demulsifiers and basecase conditions (20 ml).

Phytochemical tests were conducted, brine shrimp lethality test / BSLT and antibacterial activity test of the coarse extract and fractions from the Rambusa leaves (Passiflora foetida L.) derived from Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Rambusa leaf samples (Passifloa foetida L.) was extracted by ethanol, then concentrated using rotary evaporator. Then fractionated by using n-hexane and ethyl acetate solvent. According the test results, phytochemical compounds of secondary metabolites has contained alkaloids and steroidal compounds, triterpenoids. Within the antibacterial activity test using Staphylococcus aureus (Positive gram) and Escherichia coli (Negative Gram) using the discs method. This test using concentration in 1%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% resulted that the most active fraction is the fraction of n-hexane with minimum inhibitory rate was 1% and brine shrimp lethality test within concentration in 1000; 500; 250; 125; 62.5; 31.25; 15.625; 7,8125 ppm showing larval lethality of Artemia salina (L.) using SAS probit analysis to determine the value of Lethal Concentration 50% (LC 50 ). This test resulted that the most active fraction is the fraction of n-hexane with 133.7473 ppm of LC 50 values .

ABSTRACT
Synthesis of silica gel from chitosan-modified rice husk ash and its application as an adsorbent of methylene blue have been studied. The stages of this research included the preparation of rice husk samples, the synthesis of silica ash of rice husks, sodium silicate, chitosan solution, and synthesis of silica gel - chitosan - tripolyphosphate, and the characterization of silica gel material from chitosan-modified rice husk ash. The results showed that silica gel adsoerben from chitosan modified rice husk ash was able to adsorb methylene blue dyes with an optimum pH of 5, optimum contact time for 60 minutes and adsorption capacity of 16.4554 mg/g.
