Penelitian ini berjudul “Kualitas Minyak Atsiri Nilam dari Metode Pengecilan Ukuran pada Penyulingan Tanaman Nilam (Pogostemom cablin BENTH)” bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas dari minyak atsiri nilam yang dincang dan yang tanpa dicincang. Apakah sesuai dengan standar mutu SNI atau tidak. Penelit ian ini dilaksanakan di Sanga-Sanga, dan Lab. Analitik Kimia Po liteknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda, sedangkan waktu pengolahan minyak nilam dan lada juga analisa mutunya selama 2 bulan kalender. Metode penyulingan yang digunakan adalah metode air dan uap. Dari hasil analisa diperoleh mutu minyak atsiri nilam yang tanpa dicincang dengan warna cokelat kemerahan, indek b ias 1,502, berat jenis 0,85. Kelarutan alkohol 1:3 . bilangan as am 3,95, bilangan ester 10. Sedangkan minyak atsiri nilam yang dicincang dengan warna kuning, indek bias 1,505, berat jenis 0,505, kelarutan alkohol 1:6, bilangan asam 3,25 bilangan ester 8,25. Melalui penelit ian terhadap mutu minyak atsiri nilam dapat disimpulkan beberapa hal penting yaitu: s ecara umum mutu minyak atsiri yang dihasilkan termasuk baik, karena masih masuk dalam SNI baik minyak Nilam dari tanpa dicincang maupun Dicincang . Pada minyak nilam yang berasal dari Dicincang lebih baik mutuya dibanding tanpa dicincang.

Learning independence is related to self-management to achieve learning goals, including learning result. One of the learning models which demands students learning independence is the discovery learning. This study aims to: (1) to measure the students level of chemistry learning independence through the implementation of discovery learning model, (2) to determine students learning result through the implementation of discovery learning model on salt hydrolisis topic, (3) to determine positive correlation between learning independence and students learning result in chemistry through the implementation of discovery learning model on salt hydrolisis topic in MAN 2 Samarinda, academic year 2014/2015.
This study is classified as associative research. The population of this study is the whole students of MAN 2 Samarinda, while the sample is class XI Science I, whose number is 31 students. The sample is determined by using purposive sampling method. The learning independence data is obtained from learning independence questionnaire, adapted from assessing academic self-regulated learning and students learning result in chemistry is obtained from post-test and regular quiz. The data then analysed by using Pearson’s product moment correlation. The result showed the students learning independence in percentage as follows: highly independent (12.90%), independent (51.61%), fairly independent (35.48%), less independent (0%) and not independent (0%). The learning results percentage are as follow: very high (9.67%), high (19.35%), medium (51.56%), low (19.35%) and very low (0%). There is a positive correlation between learning independence and learning result on medium level (0.433).

Kalimantan Timur memiliki potensi untuk melakukan pengembangan terhadap budidaya tanaman holtikultura, namun selama ini belum dapat diwujudkan. Salah satu hambatan pada pengembangan budidaya tanaman holtikultura adalah serangan serangga hama yang dapat menurunkan produksi tanaman holtikultura. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan kimia yang ada pada bahan alam yaitu daun saliara (Lantana camara L) sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pestisisda nabati penekan serangan serangga hama daan insidensi penyakit tanaman holtikultura di Kalimantan Timur. Daun saliara merupakan daun tanaman yang mudah didapatkan di wilayah Kalimantan Timur. Selama ini tanaman tersebut selama dianggap sebagai gulma dan belum banyak dimanfaatkan.
Sampel pada penelitian adalah daun saliara yang diambil dari berbagai daerah di Kaltim yaitu Kutai Timur, Kutai Barat dan Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur. Sampel daun selanjutnya dikeringkan dan dibuat serbuk. Masing-masing sampel daun dilarutkan dalam etanol 96% dan dimaserasi selama 24 jam. Kemudian dilakukan uji fitokimia untuk mengetahui adanya alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, steroid, dan triterpenoid.
Hasil uji fitokimia ekstrak daun saliaramenunjukkan adanya kandunganbahan aktif tannin, saponin, steroid. Kandungan bahan aktif yang terdapat pada ekstrak daun tersebut memiliki potensi sebagai pestisida nabati karena dapat mempengaruhi serangga hama dan bakteri penyebab penyakit pada tanaman holtikultura.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi jamur yang menyerang umbi bawang merah (Allium cepa L.) setelah pasca panen selama penyimpanan yang mengakibatkan busuk pada umbi bawang, dilakukan di Stasiun Karantina Pertanian Kelas 1 Samarinda Kalimantan Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah Blotter On Test. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai salah satu usaha untuk mencegah
penyebaran penyakit pada tanaman yang diakibatkan oleh jamur khususnya penyakit busuk umbi pada bawang merah. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan (isolasi dan identifikasi) diketahui bahwa jamur yang menyerang umbi bawang merah adalah golongan/suku Netriaceae yaitu jamur Fusarium sp. Ciri- ciri dari umbi bawang merah yang terserang jamur Fusarium sp. yaitu umbi akan menampakkan dasar umbi yang berwarna putih, karena adanya massa cendawan dan umbi membusuk dimulai dari pangkal umbi, jika diamati secara morfologi dari luar umbi akan nampak berwarna coklat kehitam-hitaman dan berair.

Diabetes merupakan penyakit kronis dengan gangguan metabolisme akibat pankreas tidak menghasilkan cukup insulin yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemia. Terapi farmakologi yang digunakan untuk menurunkan kadar glukosa dalam darah salah satunya dengan menghambat kerja enzim -glukosidase sehingga menunda penyerapan glukosa di dalam saluran
pencernaan. Penggunaan bahan alam yang memiliki potensi sebagai penghambat enzim -glukosidase adalah daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp.) yang secara empiris telah banyak digunakan sebagai obat tradisional oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui senyawa bioaktif dari fraksi air daun salam yang
memiliki aktivitas penghambatan enzim -glukosidase. Penarikan senyawa kimia dilakukan dengan maserasi serbuk daun salam dalam etanol 96%, kemudian ekstrak etanol dipartisi dengan etil asetat dan air. Ekstrak air difraksinasi dengan kromatografi kolom (SiO2 : i). CH2Cl2-MeOH = 10 : 1 ~ 1:1 ii). CH2Cl2 - aseton = 2 : 1 memberikan fraksi 2-1 mempunyai aktivitas penghambatan enzim α-glukosidase paling baik, dengan IC50 21,54 ppm. Identifikasi senyawa kimia menggunakan Liquid Chromathography Tandem Mass Spectrum (LC-MS/MS) memberikan puncak dengan kelimpahan terbesar dengan bobot molekul ion m/z 413 (M+1)+ yang diperkiraan senyawa kimianya adalah Stigmasterol.

A review on antipyretics and the synthesis on the oxepine derivatives has been done. This research was aimed as the early review on the antipyretics and to synthesis the oxepine derivatives from salicylic acid and benzylchloride based on the retrosynthesis approach. This research was supervised by Dr. K.M Lokanatha Rai, M.Sc in the University of Mysore.
This research was done by two methods, first is the review based on the proposed functional group which will be potential for the antipyretics substance. Second, is based on the retrosynthesis approach in order to obtain the proposed product through the condensation reaction between salycilic acid and the benzylchloride with the THF solvents stirred of 48 hours formed the oxepine which was then transformed to oxime derivatives and confirmed by the IR spectrums. The proposed product was the oxepine derivatives.
The review on the antipyretics showing that the potential functional group to be the antipyretics are: the salicyl alchol nitrogen derivatives; some pyrazolone and amino pyrimidine; benzopyranone derivatives; and aspirin eugenol esters. For this review, the investigated functional groups are still further to be discussed.
The result of this research on the synthesis of oxepine derivatives shown that the optimum condition of the reaction between salicylic acid and benzyl chloride is at room temperature with the composition of 4 gram of salicylic acid and 4 ml of benzyl chloride was stirred in THF solvent and KOH for 48 hours. The yield of the product is 1.08 g with the confirmed spectrum of IR are: 3369 cm-1 (-OH); 1659.4 cm-1 (C=N); 1554.92 cm-1 (aromatic); 1088.3 cm-1 (N-O); 1019.83 cm-1 (C-O). It is confirmed as an oxime which is the oxepine derivatives.

ANALISIS KUALITAS DAN KOMPOSISI ASAM LEMAK DARI MINYAK BIJI WIJEN (Sesamum Indicum L)

Biji wijen (Sesamum Indicum L) merupakan salah satu sumber minyak nabati. Tanaman wijen banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pangan. Biji wijen merupakan salh satu sumber minyak nabati yang belum diketahui sifat fisiko-kimianya, sehingga pemanfaatan biji wijen belum maksimal. Pada penelitian ini, minyak biji wijen diperoleh melalui proses ektraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut n-heksana. Hasil ekstraksi berupa minyak berwarna kuningyang diproses kembali untuk menghasilkan minyak lebih murni dengan penetralan dan pemucatan. Minyak hasil ekstraksi yang telah dimurnikan tersebut dianalisis sifat fisiko-kimianya. Komposisi asam lemak dari minyak biji wijen adalah eicosanioc acid (5,12%), 9,12-octadecadienoic acid (2,71%), n-hexadecanoic acid (14,52%), octadecanoic acid (5,91%), 9-octadecanoic acid (43,57%) dan 10(E), 12(Z)-conjugated linoleic acid (21,64%). Sifat fisika dan kimia dari minyak biji wijen adalah bobot jenis dan indeks biasnya sebesar 1,037 gram/mL dan 1,465. Bilangan asamnya sebesar 9,117 mg KOH/g sampel. Bilangan penyabunan sebesar 172,8 mg KOH/g sampel. Bilangan iod sebesar 91,3184 g iod/100 g sampel. Bilangan peroksida sebesar 6,546 meq O2/kg sampel. Kadar materi tidak tersabunkan sebesar 0,001% dan kadar asam lemak bebas sebesar 4,309%.

Red melinjo skin or Gnetum gnemon has the potential to be used as an alternative natural dye because it has an attractive color due to the presence of carotenoid anthocyanin pigments, a derivative of terpenoid compounds. Carotenoids can be used as natural dyes in blush stick preparations. Melinjo peel was extracted by maceration using 70% ethanol and citric acid and after that it was tested for phytochemical screening and extract characterization. The blush on stick base formulation consists of several components including carnauba wax, candelilla wax, talcum, oleum ricini, methyl paraben, BHT, tween 80. color and scent. The base of the blush stick preparation is quite stable, homogeneous, pH 3.8-4.7 (close to skin pH), in accordance with the criteria of SNI 16-479-1998, easy to apply with an even color, and very homogeneous formulation when applied to hands.

Santa Barbara Acid-15 (SBA-15) merupakan material mesopori yang berpotensi sebagai pengemban katalis dan adsorben. Pembentukan SBA-15 umumnya menggunakan TEOS (tetraetilortosilikat) dan TMOS (tetrametilortosilikat) sebagai sumber utama silika. Sumber silika alternatif yang mulai dikembangkan pada pembentukan SBA-15 adalah limbah biomassa yang memiliki kadar SiO2 tinggi. Telah dilakukan review tentang karakteristik fisik dan kimia SBA-15 berbasis limbah seperti abu daun bambu petung, abu sekam padi, jerami gandum, abu daun tebu, abu terbang batubara dan tambang tailing, sebagai sumber utama silika. SBA-15 dari berbagai jenis limbah memiliki struktur heksagonal yang memiliki luas permukaan yang tinggi (411 – 955 m2/g), volume pori besar (0,50 – 2,89 cm3/g) dan, diameter pori besar (4,8 – 14,2 nm). Pola XRD SBA-15 berbasis limbah menunjukan tiga puncak dengan nilai indeks miller 100, 110 dan 200. Morfologi SBA-15 bervariasi seperti struktur cylindricals, struktur fiberlike dan struktur rods. Spektra Inframerah SBA-15 menunjukan adanya gugus fungsi yaitu Si-OH dan Si-O-Si. SBA-15 dari berbagai jenis limbah memiliki karakteristik fisik dan kimia yang dapat dibandingkan dengan SBA-15 dari TEOS dan TMOS.

Kerehau (Callicarpa longifolia Lamk.) is one of the biodiversity used as traditional medicine by one of the indigenous tribes of Borneo, called Dayak Tunjung. The purpose of this study was to determine about toxicity level of the Kerehau leaves (Callicarpa longifolia Lamk.) to larvae shrimps (Artemia Salina Leach) and to determine the content of the active compounds contained in the Kerehau leaves (Callicarpa longifolia Lamk.). The research was conducted by extracting samples with methanol and then concentrated by rotary evaporator. Total extract fractionated with n-hexane and chloroform, and then column chromatography applicated to chloroform fraction. Phytochemicals and BSLT have been test to Isolates chromatography results, total extract and chloroform extracts to determine the level of toxicity. Based on the results test of phytochemical compounds secondary metabolites of Kerehau leaves (Callicarpa longifolia Lamk.) indicated that the methanol extract containing steroid compounds, phenolics, and flavonoids. Chloroform fractions containing flavonoids and steroid compounds. Isolates Chloroform fraction containing Steroids compounds. On Brine Shrimp Lethality Test, death of larvae shrimps (Artemia Salina Leach) were recorded and processed using SAS Probit analysis to determine the value of Lethal Concentration (LC 50 ) to the value of each is, in chloroform isolates with LC 50 values of 96.4096 ppm, chloroform extract had LC 50 values of 104.1878 ppm and methanol extract had LC 50 values of 485.1681 ppm.

Pirolisis mikroalga Botryococcus braunii dengan Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA) telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari karakteristik dan potensi mikroalga B. braunii sebagai sumber energi terbarukan melalui proses pirolisis. Pirolisis dilakukan dengan empat variasi laju pemanasan yaitu 10, 15, 20 dan 25 °C/menit. Berdasarkan hasil karakterisasi, B. braunii memiliki kadar air 5,01 ± 0,42%, kadar abu 27,44 ± 1,11%. Kurva TG dan dTG pirolisis B. Braunii menunjukan rentang suhu untuk reaksi pirolisis aktif mikroalga B. braunii adalah antara 150 – 550 °C, dimana terjadi proses degradasi biomassa yang terdiri dari dekomposisi karbohidrat, protein dan lipid.

The main object ive of this essay was to describe the minerals, nutrients and active compounds of rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) fru its. Flesh fruit of rambutan is a source of minerals and ascorbic acid that are needed by human body. Its seed oil provides mineral and fatty acid. Its peel contains ellagic acid, corilagin and geraniin that have biological activit ies, such as antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammation, anti-hyperalgesic antiviral, anti-semicarbazide-sensitive amine o xidase (SSAO), and anti-hypertensive. Rambutan is not only consumed as fresh fruits, but also it can be used as sources of food and medicine products.

The research about preparation of activated charcoal from bagasse and its application as an adsorbent for red dye from the waste weaving of the sarong in Samarinda has been conducted. Determination of the surface area of ​​charcoal before and after activation using the methylene blue method was 176.1918 m2/g and 180.2635 m2/g, respectively, characterization by FT-IR on activated charcoal before and after activat ion showed that there are C - H. aromatic, C = O, C = O and C - O, based on the XRD characterization results showed that after activation activated carbon there is an amorph peak with a heterogeneous surface which indicated that the characteristic carbon appeared in the area between 22.26-24.31o. Analysis of the quality of charcoal after activation obtained a moisture content of 5%; ash content 4.20% and volatile mater 29.44%. The use of activated charcoal for adsorption on the rhodamine B dye and the red dye from waste dyeing yarn weaving sarong Samarinda used a UV-Vis spectrophotometer with several variations of optimization, namely: optimum contact time variation, optimum adsorbent weight variation, optimum concentration variation and comparison of the optimum optimization results at time variations contact and adsorbent weight of rhodamine B dye and red dye from from waste dyeing yarn weaving sarong Samarinda, the results of the optimization comparison of optimum contact time obtained the highest degradation% in red dye from from waste dyeing yarn weaving sarong Samarinda, namely 66.410%, optimum at 45 minutes and the optimization of adsorbent weight variations obtained the highest The optimum red dye from from waste dyeing yarn weaving sarong Samarinda is 93.387% at a weight of 0,2 g.

Pyrolysis of meranti sawdust (Shorea spp) with Ni/SBA-15 catalyst at 350°C, 450°C and 550°C using the pyrolysis-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) technique was carried out. This research was conducted to determine the pyrolysis product and the chemical composition of the pyrolysis product of meranti sawdust catalyzed by Ni/SBA-15 (20%wt.%). Based on the area percentage of products identified on the pyrogram, the chemical compositions of the pyrolysis product of meranti wood were 32.4%-43.6% products derived from cellulose/hemicellulose and 32.7%-23.3% products derived from lignin. The addition of Ni/SBA-15 catalyst to the pyrolysis of meranti sawdust increased the formation of cellulose/hemicellulose derivative products such as furan and furfural, as well as lignin derivative products such as vanillin. However, increasing the concentration of the catalyst also improved the amount of acetic acid, which is potentially corrosive and detrimental.

SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN UJI TOKSISITAS PADA DAUN TERAP (Artocarpus elasticus) DENGAN METODE BRINE SHRIMP LETHALITY TEST (BSLT)

A research to find out the secondary metabolite compounds contained in theleaves of terap (Artocarpus elasticus) and its toxicity of terap leavesextract has been done by using Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. Toxicity was conducted for prawn Artemia salina Leach of 48 hours age. Toxicity data were obtained from Lethal Concentration 50% (LC50) with percentage of death of prawn larva and counted by probit analysis SAS. The result showed that 5thn-hexane fraction was more toxic than another extract with LC50 values 71.887 ppm and furthermore, the bioactive compound of 5thn-hexane fraction was probably to be either steroid compound.

Kapas banana is a source of carbohydrate that can used as flour. Physical and chemical properties of the natural flour have abstacle that caused limited apllication for food product. Banana flour can be modified by spontaneous fermentation and autoclaving -cooling to increase the function of the flour. This
study aims to determine strach, amylose and amy lopectin content. This experiment used completely randomized design with two factorial and three replication. The first factor was spontaneous fermentation in 0, 12, 24, and 45 hour, whereas the other was autoclaving - cooling in 0 , 15 , 30 and 45 minute. Result of the experiment showed that modification of spontaneous fermentation and autoclaving the affect the characteristic of kapas banana flour . The content of starch, amylose, and amylopectin in the kapas banana flour are 58.56-71.70 %, 14.58-20.46 %, and 39.66-54.03 % respectively.

This research aims for knowing is there is difference enhancement results study chemistry SMP Kalam Kudus Medan using flash animation media with Ms. Power Point on the Discovery Constructive Learning model. The population in this study were students class VIII-B and VIII-C SMP Kalam Kudus Medan. Taking sample study taken by purposive sampling consisting of from class learning Discovery Constructive Learning with flash animation media and in class learning Discovery Constructive Learning with Ms. Power Point media. Type this research is research experiment pseudo . Based on the results of the data requirements test , it is known that both the result data study student class learning Discovery Constructive Learning with flash animation media and class Discovery Constructive Learning with Ms. Power Point media is stated is normally distributed and has uniform variance (homogeneous) . Based on the normalized gain data , the increase in results learn using _ learning Discovery Constructive Learning with flash animation media is 84.43% and an increase results learn using _ Discovery Constructive Learning with Ms. Power Point media is 71.06 %. The size difference enhancement results study chemical students is 13.37%. Test results hypothesis , obtained t < -t½α and t > t½α by using t test two party namely 0.0437 < -0.025 and 0.0437 > 0.025 at the level significance = 0.025. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted , where Ha = exists difference enhancement results study chemistry SMP Kalam Kudus Medan using flash animation media with Ms. Power Point on the Discovery Constructive Learning model for class VIII SMP Kalam Kudus Medan on the subject discussion substance additive food 2013/2014.

Kaffir lime levaes is one of citrus cultivars in Indonesia that used as a food ingredient. The antioxidant activity of essential oil and crude extracts of Kaffir lime leaves in East Borneo was determined.The antioxidant potential of the samples was evaluated using two separate methods, inhibition of free radical 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2-azino-bis 3ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS).Results showed that the ethanol extracts were able to reduce the stable free radicals (DPPH and ABTS) with 49,5 μmol TE/mg and 42,8 μmol TE/mg, respectively.The total phenolic compounds were 4,06 μg GAE/mg. The essential oils from fresh leaves showed inhibition (DPPH) and (ABTS) at 5,78μmol TE/mg and 5,12μmol TE/mg, respectively. The strong antioxidant activity of the plant extracts may be attributed to the presence of phenolics.

PENGARUH pH TERHADAP COD, BOD DAN VFA PADA PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH CAIR PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT DALAM BIOREAKTOR ANAEROBIK

ABSTRACT
POME is non-toxic, but the high content of organic substances causes the value of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) which is still high, so that it will disturb the ecosystem if discharged directly into the environment. The pH factor plays an important role in anaerobic decomposition because in an inappropriate pH range, microbes cannot grow to the maximum and can even cause death. This research was conducted by varying the pH values namely ambient pH, pH 7.2 and pH 8 to determine the optimum pH value in the processing of POME in anerobic bioreactors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pH on changes in levels of COD, BOD, and VFA in POME by using anerobic bioreactors. As for the highest % removal resulr from each of these parameters is COD atpH 7.2 is 81.51%, for BOD at ambient pH is 80.56%, and for VFA the highest is at pH 7.2 on day-21 is 8616.6.

Forest betel plant is a plant belonging to the Piperaceae tribe. Sap of plants are often used by people as a cure boils and leaves as toxicity to mosquito larvae o f Aedes aegypti L. Was tested for BSLT (Brine shrimp Lethality Test) and antioxidants in ethanol and water ext ract of the twigs of the plant betel leaves this forest, the concentration used in the test BSLT 10 , 100 and 1000 pp m and antio xidant tests with obstacle (inhibit ion)% 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100pp m. Principles used in to xicity tests of ethanol and water extracts of p lant twigs forest betel Piper aduncum .L ( family :p iperaceae) BSLT (Brine shrimp Lethality Test) determined by the method of total mortality of larvae shrimp Artemia salina Leach extract co mpounds due to the influence of natural materials with a part icular concentration and antioxidant principle is based on the color of the solution changes DPPH (1,1-di fenil-2-pikrilhidrasil) from purple to yellow due to the presence of antio xidant compounds. Where the results of research in BSLT test showed that the LC 50 value twigs of 33.88 pp m ethanol extract and water extract of 323.593 ppm. The antio xidant test IC 50 values obtained at 140.732 pp m ethanol extract and water ext ract of 438.687 pp m with a b lank absorbance by 0.813.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF FLIP-BASED CHEMISTRY ILLUSTRATION

One of the causes of low student learning outcomes is the lack of student interest in chemistry learning. This is also due to students' disinterest in reading chemistry textbooks provided by the school. This study was aimed to obtain feasibility, effectiveness, teacher and student responses to flip-based chemistry illustration on equilibrium of acid and base ions. The research method used was research & development (R&D) with a 4D model which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted at the XI-F class SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan. The results showed that flip-based chemical illustration books met the good criteria. Evaluation of the feasibility of flip-based chemical illustration books by material experts with an average percentage of 78 percent in the feasible category and 75 percent from media experts in the feasible category. Meanwhile, based on the N-Gain score of 0.62 in the moderate category, flip-based chemistry illustration books was found to be effective in improving student learning outcomes. Overall, the response of the chemistry teacher and students gave a positive response to flip-based chemistry illustration books with a percentage of 100 85, respectively. This study concluded that flip-based chemistry illustration book on equlibirium of acid and base ions was feasible to apply in chemistry learning.

The ethylenediamide synthesis from methyl ester of Moringa oleifera seed oil has been performed by the amidation reaction. The results showed that GC analysis denoted the most dominant composition of oleic fatty acid in 70.72%. The ethylenediamide which has been resulted an acid,was containedof 12.04 mg KOH/gram of Moringa oleifera seed oil, 5.58 mg KOH/gram of saponification number, and 10.72 of HLB practical value. The FT-IR spectrum has provided a peak of specific absorption for the -C=O amide group, -C-N- which represents the specific group of ethylenediamide. OH and CO ester group showed the process of ethylenediamde synthesis has not proceeded perfectly as seen in the differences of practical and theoretical HLB values.

Kenitu (Chrysophyllum cainito L.) is one of the plants that has the potential to cure fever, diarrhea and inflammation of the respiratory tract. This study aimed to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration value of kenitu leaf methanol extract (Chrysophyllum cainito L.) against Salmonella thypi bacteria ATCC 422. The minimum inhibitory concentration value of kenitu (Chrysophyllum cainito L.) against Salmonella thypi ATCC 422 bacteria was 0.625 %. The presence of antibacterial activity of kenitu leaf methanol extract (Chrysophyllum cainito L.) contains secondary metabolite compounds of alkaloid, phenolic and steroid groups.

The Study on critical thinking and cognitive prospective students through inquiry-based learning had been conducted. The aim of this study is to determine the critical thinking and cognitive prospects of senior high school students through the free and guided inquiry learning. The data had been gathered by using a quasi-experimental. The first step of this study was using non equivalent control group that was designed for SMA Negeri 11 to see the prospect of guided inquiry and also student’s cognitive and critical thinking. Next step, to improve students cognitive and critical thinking datagathered from SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin students to see prospective guided inquiry and free inquiry. The comparison between designed pre test-post test of these 2 groups analyzed.
The study shows that (1) guided inquiry learning having more prospect compared to expository learning with value of N-gain 0.71 and 0.62 (2) free inquiry has more prospect in improving critical thinking than guided inquiry with a value of N-gain 0, 48 and 0.47. (3) guided inquiry has more prospect in increasing students cognitive value compared to free inquiry to the value of N-gain of 0.82 and 0.62.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang betujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar dan partisipasi siswa pada pembelajaran kimia melalui model make a match. Melalui model ini siswa berperan aktif dengan mencari pasangan dari kartu soal yang dimiliki dan menuliskan pasangan jawaban dalam lembar kerja, hal ini dilakukan hingga 10 sesion. Penelitian ini berlangsung 2 siklus. Diperoleh nilai rata-rata pada tes awal sebesar 67,77 dengan persentase ketuntasan 8 %, setelah melalui proses tindakan pada siklus 1 diperoleh nilai rata-rata 78,06 dengan persentase ketuntasan 61, 11 % dan pada siklus 2 diperoleh nilai rata-rata 81,03 dengan persentase ketuntasan 94,44 %. Dapat terlihat adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran tidak hanya berfokus pada guru tapi juga pada siswa. Konsekuensi dari hasil yang diperoleh pada upaya tersebut maka guru merupakan kunci dari permasalahan yang dihadapi. Guru harus mampu berada pada titik sentral dalam mengatur, mengarahkan dan menciptakan susana belajar yang efektif dan menyenagkan. Memberi ruang yang banyak bagi siswa dalam mengekplorasi pembelajaran

Aktivitas antiinflamasi ekstrak matanol daun pare hutan (Momordica balsamina Linn.) dalam menghambat denaturasi protein telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antiinflamasi dari ekstrak metanol daun pare hutan (Momordica balsamina Linn.) dengan metode penghambatan denaturasi protein. Protein yang digunakan adalah bovine serum albumin (BSA) 0,2% (w/v) dalam tris buffer saline (TBS). Kontrol positif yang digunakan adalah natrium diklofenak. Hasil uji fitokimia ekstrak metanol daun pare hutan (Momordica balsamina Linn.) mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, steroid, fenolik dan flavonoid. Hasil uji aktivitas antiinflamasi ekstrak metanol daun pare hutan (Momordica balsamina Linn.) diperoleh nilai inhibition concentration 50% (IC50) sebesar 127,95 µg/mL. Ekstrak metanol daun pare hutan (Momordica balsamina Linn.) memiliki aktivitas sebagai antiinflamasi sedang.

The phytochemical tests and toxicity test extract from stem bark of terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus Blanco) have been researched. The method used is Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT), the ethanol and n-hexane extract of this bark terap (A. odoratissimus) were tested. The results showed that the secondary metabolic component from terap (A.odoratissimus)was toxic. The LC50 from the extract of terap (A. odoratissimus) that dissolved in Ethanol was 82.0008 and The LC50 from the extract of terap (A.odoratissimus) that dissolved in n-Hexane was 383.3533

Telah dilakukan pengukuran konduktivitas elektropolimerisasi polipirol pada berbagai variasi pH. Elektropolimerisasi pirol pada permukaan elektroda emas menggunakan teknik voltammetri siklis dengan sistem tiga elektroda yaitu elektroda emas termodifikasi p iro l, Ag/AgCl (KCl 3M) sebagai elektroda pembanding, dan kawat plat inu m sebagai elektroda bantu. Diu kur pada potensial -0,6 V sampai +1,8V dengan laju scan 100 mV/detik pada kondisi rentang pH 1 sampai 14 menggunakan elektrolit KCl 0,1 M kemudian
dilakukan pengukuran impedance untuk mempero leh nilai konduktivitas. Diperoleh data pada kondisi pH 9 elektropolimerisasi pirol memiliki konduktivitas paling tinggi. Dalam keadaan konduktivitas yang tinggi, fungsi pirol sebagai polimer konduktif pada biosensor memiliki kemampuan transfer elektron yang baik.

Traditional medicine is a supplement that can help maintain a healthy body which is produced from ingredients or ingredients derived from plants, so that it is still in great demand by the public because it is considered safe. Traditional medicinal preparations themselves are not allowed to contain Medicinal Chemicals (BKO). However, along with the increasing public interest, this has led to the circulation of traditional medicines containing BKO in order to obtain products with the fastest/ most effective effects. One of the chemical drugs that are often found are coffeine and paracetamol. This study aims to identify the medicinal chemicals of coffeine and paracetamol in traditional medicine using a solid phase extraction method which is then followed by high performance liquid chromatography with a photo diode array detector. The results obtained were that the coffeine standard produced a retention time of 5.791 with a wavelength of 206 nm and 272 nm while the paracetamol standard produced a retention time of 4.372 with a wavelength of 196 nm and 246 nm. The results of the analysis showed that the samples in the form of traditional medicines did not contain the medicinal chemicals coffeine and paracetamol

Acacia sp. bark was extracted by using Soxhlet Extractor with acetone : water solvents (4 : 6) for 2 hours, extraction with n-hexane, added by NaCl solution, then hydrolized with aqueous hydrochloric acid and finally the precipitate is recrystalized.The antioxidant activity tests were used in this research: Thiocyanate method and Thiobarbituric acid (TBA) method. Thiocyanate method is done for 10 days and the sample absorbance is measured with UV-Vis Spectrophotometre at λ = 500 nm. The TBA method is done with sample absorbance measurement at λ = 532 nm tor 10 days. In this condition, the sample consisted of the mixture of oleic acid 0,05% in absolute ethanol, phosphate buffer in pH=7 with the extract variation (0,05% and 0,09%), BHT and control. The result showed a positive indication that the extract can be used as a natural antioxidant. This research showed higher concentration of the extract also made higher antioxidant activity.

This paper is a preliminary research in the application of electrosynthesis method in extracting the sample. The maceration process of extraction is one of the simplest ways of extracting nicotine in a preparation. The extraction process can be accelerated by electrochemical principle. The method developed is maceration coupling electrosynthetise in analyzing nicotine contained in cigarette butts. Descriptive method developed in the process of nicotine maseration on filter cigarettes and non-filter cigarettes using ethanol solvents. The experimental method was developed in maceration process and maceration coupling electrosynthesis with variation of time respectively 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 minutes. The best results were obtained on non-filter cigarettes using maceration coupling electrosynthesis at 20 and 25 minutes with qualitative results with cyanogen bromide marked by abundant yellow (+++). The analysis continued using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method and obtained the best sample concentration on non-filter cigarette method of maceration coupling electrosynthesis at 15 minute ( 0,01003 ppm).

The phytochemical test, brine shrimp lethality test and antioxidant activity test on secondary metabolits of terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus B.)leaves have been completed. The leaves samples are extracted by masseration method that is concentrated by using rotary evaporator. The total extract are fractioned with n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Based on secondary metabolits phytochemical test of terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus B.)leaves showed that total extract, n-hexane fraction extract andEthyl Acetat fraction extractcontains steroid and flavonoid. In brine shrimp lethality test, the increase larvae death data was recorded and processed using SAS Probit Analysis to determine the Lethal Concentration 50 % (LC 50 ) value. The results of this test showed that the most active extract is metanol extract with LC 50 value of 110,5176ppm. Based on the antioxidant activity by scavenging activity of DPPH used spectrophotometry was obtained that Inhibition Concentration 50% (IC 50 ) of total extract is 563,57 ppm, extract of n-hexane fraction is 631,87 ppm and extract of ethyl acetat fraction is 45,30 ppm.

KINERJA ANALITIK KOMPLEKS Cu(II)-NINHIDRIN SECARA SPEKTROFOTOMETERI

Sebuah metode spektrofotometri untuk penentuan senyawa kompleks Cu(II)-Ninhidrin telah diteliti. Tahapan pada penelitian ini adalah uji kualitatif ion logam terhadap ninhidrin. Selanjutnya dilakukan optimasi pembentukkan kompleks dengan penentuan panjang gelombang maksimum, variasi pH, perbandingan mol logam : mol ligan Cu(II)-ninhidrin dan variasi waktu. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kinerja analitik dengan parameter linearitas, presisi dan limit deteksi. Hasil pengukuran panjang gelombang maksimum dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis kompleks Cu(II)-ninhidrin mempunyai panjang gelombang 352 nm, pH optimum terjadi pada pH 9, perbandingan mol logam : mol ligan Cu(II)-ninhidrin adalah 1:3, dan kestabilan terjadi pada waktu 30 sampai 40 menit menghasilkan warna kompleks hijau kekuningan. Hasil kinerja analitik diperoleh linieritas (R2), presisi (%RSD) dan limit deteksi berturut-turut adalah 0,9908; 2,93% dan 0,2298 mM.

The main objective of this essay was to describe the minerals, nutrients and active compounds of rambutan (Nepheliumlappaceum L.) fruits. Flesh fruit of rambutanis a sourceof minerals and ascorbic acid that are needed by human. Its seed oil provides mineral and fatty acid. Its peel contains ellagic acid, corilagin and geraniin that have biological activities, such as antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammation, anti-hyperalgesic antiviral, anti-semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (SSAO), and anti-hypertensive. Rambutan is not only consumed as fresh fruits, but also it can be used as sources of food and medicine products.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan penerapan model kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbasis media kartu soal dan ular tangga pada materi reaksi redoks di kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan. Sampel penelitian sebanyak dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen I diberi perlakuan menggunakan media ular tangga dan kelas ekperimen II diberi perlakuan menggunakan media kartu soal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pretest-postest Control Group Design. Penelitian ini meggunakan instrument test yang telah diujicobakan dan telah valid. Data hasil belajar siswa di uji coba normalitas dan homogenitasnnya, hasil yang didapat kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan berdistribusi homogen. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t- dua pihak dengan hasil penelitian ini pada taraf signifikansi 5% ( menunjukkan bahwa ) maka Ho ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan hasil belajar menggunakan pembelajaran model model kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbasis kartu soal dan ular tangga pada materi redoks.

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang modifikasi karet alam siklis (KAS) dengan asam oleat (AO) menggunakan inisiator dikumil peroksida (DCP) sebagai kompatibiliser dengan metode kopolimer cangkok. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dalam skala laboratorium bertujuan untuk menghasilkan campuran yang homogen dan kompatibel paduan KAS dengan AO pasca penambahan bahan pengisi montmorillonit. Karakterisasi dilakukan dengan analisa FT-IR, DSC, XRD dan SEM. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan proses pencangkokkan AO pada rantai molekul KAS menggunakan inisiator DCP telah berhasil dilakukan, hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari analisa FT-IR muncul pita serapan baru yang tidak ada terdapat pada spektrum FT-IR KAS, yaitu pita serapan pada bilangan gelombang 1708 cm-1 menunjukkan adanya gugus karbonil karboksilat C=O berasal dari monomer OA yang sudah tercangkok pada rantai molekul KAS. Analisa KAS-g-AO dengan DSC menunjukkan telah terjadi penurunan suhu transisi gelas (Tg) sebesar 10.0 0C (dari 90.2 0C turun menjadi 80.2 0C). Analisa dengan SEM struktur morfologi mikrokomposit paduan KAS-g-AO pasca penambahan montmorillonit menghasilkan campuran yang homogen dan kompatibel terlihat seluruh bahan pengisi montmorillonit terdistribusi secara merata sehingga tidak ada terlihat rongga-rongga yang berlubang. Hasil kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah modifikasi KAS dengan AO menggunakan DCP dan bahan pengisi montmorillonit telah berhasil dilakukan menghasilkan campuran yang homogen dan kompatibel.

This study aims to determine the problem of Inquiry Learning Devices Model Happens in High School Chemistry Teacher in Samarinda. Subjects in this research were 1 teacher and 1 respondents.
Methods of analysis was done qualitatively obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation and data obtained in the research then described.
The results showed that the chemistry teacher is having problems in the preparation of RPP learning device.

A research has been conducted with a title .The activity of extract and fractions of Sonneratia leaf (Sonneratia caseolaris L.) as an antioxidant. This research aims to know the activity of extract and fractions of Sonneratia leaves as an antioxidant against the free radical DPPH. The Sonneratia leaves powder was extracted using maceration tool with methanol solvent. The methanolic extract fractioned with n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and n-butanol solvents. Testing of antioxidant activity is performed with the DPPH method (1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl) by spectrophotometry. Absorbance measurement was conducted with spectrophotometry at the wave length 516 nm. Data was analyzed with linear regression to obtain values of IC50. The result of research showed that the extract and fractions of Sonneratia leaves have activity as an antioxidant with the IC50 value of methanolic extract was 21,62 ppm, n-hexane fraction was 82,36 ppm, ethyl acetate fraction was 13,41 ppm, and n-butanol fraction was 13,04 ppm. The test samples which provide the best antioxidant activity is the fraction of n-butanol.

Sintesis nanopartikel perak menggunakan reduktor asam askorbat telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui proses sintesis nanopartikel perak dan mengetahui kestabilan nanopartikel perak berdasarkan variasi konsentrasi AgNO3 dengan menggunakan reduktor asam askorbat. Pada sintesis ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan variasi konsentrasi AgNO3 dan variasi reduktor asam askorbat. Karakterisasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil Spektrofotometer UV-Vis menunjukan konsentrasi AgNO3 4×10-4 M dengan asam askorbat 1×10-3 M lebih stabil dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi AgNO3 yang lain.
Kata kunci: Nanopartikel perak, asam askorbat dan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis.

Cotton fabric is proposed as an alternative material for low cost point of care devices. Cotton fabrics are vastly available, low cost and flexible. Simple wax patterning method was applied to create hydrophilic channels in cotton fabric. Three-dimensional (3-D) colorimetric microfluidic device was made by folding 2-D pattern along certain predefined lines. 3-D devices show better mixing uniformity between reagents and analyte across the detection zones. On-chip colorimetric calibration is also proposed by putting predefined serially diluted
samples next to the detection zones. Multiple assays can be integrated within a small surface area by stacking layers of individual assay device separated by a wax-impregnated fabric. Cotton fabric was also used as a platform for conducting Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The colorimetric performance is similar to the conventional absorbancebased ELISA, yet with lower cost and shorter time to get results. A second type of device using electrochemical detection principle is also implemented in cotton fabric with three electrode configuration (working, counter and reference electrode), using similar simple and low-cost wax-patterning. In both colorimetric and electrochemical device, comparison with te already popular paper-based device will be discussed. Finally, we present latest results in our lab in which cotton fabrics were used as a novel platform for cell-based assay and cellmanipulation

Di dalam makalah ini, di lakukan proses fotokatalisis dengan menggunakan komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 . Material komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 di siapkan dan di karakterisasi menggunakan alat-alat instrumentasi dan aplikasinya untuk mendegradasi fenol secara fotokatalitik telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan dengan mengamati degradasi larutan metilen biru sebagai model polutan organik di bawah penynaran UV-Vis. Tahapan penelitian ini yaitu yang pertama, pembuatan Fe3O4 dengan metode kopresipitasi, yang kedua pembuatan ZnO dengan metode kopresipitasi dan yang terakhir pembuatan Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 melalui reaksi padat-padat kemudian dikarakterisasi menggunakan X-ray Diffraction (XRD) dan Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) serta dilanjutkan dengan proses degradasi metilen biru lalu di karakterisasi dengan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan adanya struktur komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3. Pada analisa SEM dapat diamati pada Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 terdapat ukuran partikel yang tidak seragam dan cenderung menggumpul serta menempel satu sama lain. Hasil optimasi pada degradasi methylene blue berdasarkan variasi jenis katalis yang digunakan menunjukkan bahwa Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 memiliki aktivitas yang lebih baik dibandingkan Fe3O4, ZnO dan WO3. Lalu pada variasi sumber sinar menunjukkan sinar UV-Vis menghasilkan nilai % degradasi lebih baik.
Kata Kunci: Komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3, Methylene Blue, Fotokatalitik, Degradasi.

Science and technology evolved with the times and has very important influence in various aspects of life, one of them is the aspect in education. Utilization of science and technology in education can be applied through innovation in developing learning media. Gamification-based learning media is a game designed as a learning instrument. Gamification is one of the learning media innovations that can be utilized in chemistry learning for increase motivation and student learning outcomes. The writing of this literature review purposed for examining the development of gamification learning media in chemistry learning. The method used in this literature review is narrative literature review by collecting data of article related to gamification learning media that published within a period 2014-2023. Data analysis is carried using an simplified approach. The articles used in this literature review were 51 articles from accredited national and international journals obtained from Google Scholar. Based on the result of the literature review, it was found that gamification learning media can increase student motivation in chemistry learning. Gamification can also motivate teacher to innovate in creating learning media that can interest student. Therefore, gamification can be a new trend in chemistry learning.

Penelitian mengenai Uji Skrining Fitokimia dan Uji Aktivitas Antioksidan dari Berbagai Ekstrak Daun Akasia (Acacia auriculiformis Benth.) telah dilakukan. Hasil uji skrining fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terkandung dalam ekstrak daun akasia adalah senyawa flavonoid, steroid, fenolik dan saponin. Kemudian, difraksinasi dengan menggunakan pelarut organik dari n-heksan, etil asetat dan air. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan Peredaman Radikal Bebas (DPPH) menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak yang memiliki daya aktivitas antioksidan paling tinggi adalah ekstrak etanol sebesar 91,75%

steroid (isolate 1) and flavonoid (isolate 2) types have been isolated from n-hexane and chloroform fractions of Terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus Blanco) leaves, respectively. The types of compounds were determined by phytochemical test. Basic on the result of toxicity test against Brine shrimp lethality test (BSLT) shown that isolate 1 exhib ited highest toxic act ivity among others with LC 50 48.39 ppm.

This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers and students for case study-based chemistry learning media that can support the chemistry learning process for grades X and XI in Senior High Schools (SMTA). The methods used are literature studies (curriculum analysis, analysis of chemical concepts on colloidal topics, and journal analysis) and field studies (analysis of multimedia needs for chemistry teachers and students in class X and XI SMA in the form of a questionnaire using google form to seven high school schools in the district). Coal). Based on the results of the analysis of the first literature study, it was found that the basic competencies regarding colloid systems are KD 3.15 and KD 4.15, then the chemical concepts in colloidal materials are classified as abstract about 17%, abstract concepts with concrete examples show 33%. While the concrete concept of 50%. The results of the journal analysis stated that the development of interactive multimedia based on case studies is important because it can explain abstract concepts to be more concrete. The next stage of the field study showed that 100% of teachers and 91.4% of students stated that it was important to integrate case study-based interactive multimedia content in the learning process. The results of this study provide a clear picture of the need for the development of case study-based interactive multimedia.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan peningkatan hasil belajar berbasis model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih secara random sampling. Dari empat kelas dipilih dua kelas sebagai yaitu X MIPA 1 kelas Eksperimen I dan X MIPA 2 kelas Ekperiment II. Instrumen yang digunakan merupakan instrument tes sebanyak 20 soal dengan reliabitas 0,798.Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji t dua pihak untuk menentukan perbedaan aktivitas dengan menerapkan media yang berbeda di dua kelas yang berbeda. Berdasarkan uji statistik parametric ,uji hipotesis peningkatan hasil belajar mengunakan uji t dua pihak (dua pihak) dengan taraf signifikasi 0.05, diperoleh data thitung > ttebel yakni 2.61 > 2.002 , berarti H0 ditolak Ha diterima. Hasil dari uji parametric bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament menggunakan media kartu soal lebih baik dari pada model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament menggunakan media lembar kerja siswa dengan persentase sebesar 0.086%.

Singkil leaves (Premna cordifolia Roxb.) are a plant that is widely found in Kalimantan, and usually grows in the yard of houses or plantations. The antioxidant activity test of methanol extract from Singkil leaves (Premna cordifolia Roxb.) has been done. This research aims to determine the antioxidant properties of methanol extract from leaves. Based on the results of the phytochemical test, it is known that the methanol extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, steroids and triterpenoids. The results of the literature show that the methanol extract exhibits antioxidant activity in the "Strong" category, which has an IC50 value of 77.46 mg/L. Methanol extract of singkil leaves (Premna cordifolia Roxb.) has potential as an antioxidant.

The Research on "Correlation Pb metal ion concentration the protein content in the shells Tahu (Meretrix meretrix) taken in coastal waters Bunyu Island North Borneo". This study aims to determine the levels of metal ions Pb and protein levels in Shell tahu based on the size and area of different sampling. Then the metal ion content of Pb and protein correlated using Least Square method. Analysis of Pb metal ion levels by using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) and analysis of protein content using the Kjeldahl method. In this study, the levels of metal ions Pb at area 1 with an average of 0.638 mg / L, the levels of metal ions Pb at area 2 with an average of 0,940 mg / L, the levels of metal ions Pb in area 3 with an average of 0.664 mg / L. The protein content of the mussels out in area 1 with an average of 13.9244%, protein content in area 2 obtained an average protein content of 20.3020% and area 3 obtained an average protein content of 16.1540%. Correlation Pb levels against the protein content of the Shells tahu (Meretrix meretrix) r = 0.856

Penelit ian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh inovasi yang dilakukan oleh guru untuk mencapai hasil belajar maksimum hanya dihubungkan dengan materi yang akan d isampaikan, kurang memperhatikan gaya belajar maupun gaya berfikir siswa padahal dalam setiap mengajar efekt ifitasnya bergantung pada gaya belajar dan gaya berfikir siswa d isamping sifat pribadi dan kesanggupan intelektualnya. Oleh karena itu mengetahui gaya belajar dan gaya berfikir siswa bagi seorang guru khususnya guru kimia, merupakan suatu usaha yang sangat penting dalam mewujudkan keberhasilan mengajar. Populasi dalam penelit ian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Sampel yang diamb il dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data pada pen elitian ini melalui angket gaya belajar dan gaya berfikir serta ulangan harian berupa soal essay sebanyak 6 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya belajar do minan siswa adalah gaya belajar auditori dimana persentase gaya belajar auditori sebesar 45%, gaya belajar visual sebesar 24% dan gaya belajar kinestetik sebesar 31%. Gaya berfikir dominan siswa adalah gaya berfikir sekuensial konkrit (SK) dimana persentase gaya berfikir sekuensial konkrit sebesar 52%, gaya berfikir sekuensial abstrak sebesar 3% , gaya berfikir acak abstrak sebesar 35% dan gaya berfikir acak konkrit sebesar 10%.

Glucomannan extracted from porang tubers (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) can be used as a raw material for made edible films. In this research, extraction of glucomannan with graded ethanol method resulted in a yield of 10% and the composition of the edible film forming solution used was 6% glucomannan porang tubers and 25% (w/w) glycerol. The resulted edible film was clear and transparent with the characteristics tested are water content, thickness and water vapor transmission respectvely 20.16%, 0.15 m2 and 22.89 g/m2/hour. Based on the results of SEM analysis showed that the surface of the edible film of glucomannan porang tubers, the morphology of the surface was somewhat smooth but still less homogeneous. So, efforts are still needed to improve the characteristics so that to acording the required standards

Have been done study about using metacognitive skills in learning chemistry through problem solving. Metacognitionis the awareness of cognitive processes. By using metacognition, someone does all the activities with full awareness. When students learning chemistry by involving their metacognitive skills, students will be able to observe the relationship between data in the problem with the prior knowledge, to re-examine its accuracy, as well as solving acomplex problem with the simple steps, tries to regulate and improve their cognitive processes. This paper aims is prepared in order to build a mindset learning chemistry through problem solving that involve students metacognitive skills. Metacognitive skills to form a competent student resources, who perform all acts by full awareness. Always make good representing problem, planning, monitoring, evaluating, and transfering their action. Performance of Indonesian Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) with occupational accidents and occupational diseases as the main indicators has not been satisfactory. The main factors causing occupational accidents and occupation disease are human factors and environmental factors. Without prejudice to the human factors, the purposes of the study are to determine the relationship of physical and chemical environmental factors against the performance of OHS and its contribution to the performance of OHS. Analytical survey with cross sectional approach to Plywood Companies in East Kalimantan. Obtained a significant relationship between the physical and chemical environment variables with OHS performance (p = 0.043) and contribute 38.2% of the OHS performance.

This study aims to determine the effect of pre-mordant material on kenaf fiber coloring using secang wood and teak leaves, to determine the Henodic Test method in classifying its quality, as well as to determine the significant effect on the color of kenaf fiber, and to determine the level of consumer preference for kenaf fiber. natural dyes. The research method used was an experiment with a variety of pre-mordant materials (alum, lime, vinegar). From the test, it was found that the color direction of the kenaf fiber was reddish purple to light brown, so the average value of fastness to washing was 4 (good). From this activity, it was concluded that the addition of secang wood and teak leaves as pre-mordant materials coupled with the effect of pH on the staining of kenaf fibers with secang wood extract provided variations in the direction of color and the value of color fastness to washing. Kenaf fiber is an environmentally friendly alternative to textile raw materials. This study used the Hedonic Test method with the Kruskal Wallis test. The results of this study were that there was no significant effect on the combination of compost application and pesticide application with natural dyes of secang wood and teak leaves on the color of kenaf fibers and there was no effect on the level of consumer preference for kenaf fiber with natural dyes.

Daun binahong [Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis] merupakan tumbuhan yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat untuk mengobati berbagai penyakit antara lain diabetes, analgetik, pembengkakan sendi-sendi, diare dan memar (Shabella, 2012). Penelitian pendahuluan menyatakan bahwa terkandung senyawa aktif flavonoid didalam Binahong (Murdianto, 2012). Penelitian in i bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dan berapa besar daya analgetik ekstrak etanolik daun binahong pada hewan uji mencit putih (Mus musculus L.) jantan. Pada penelitian ini d ilakukan secara eksperimental dengan menggunakan metode acak lengkap pola searah. Digunakan mencit
dengan 5 kelo mpok perlakuan (tiap kelo mpok 4 ekor mencit) yaitu kontrol positif (Celebrex®), kontrol negatif (Na- CM C 0,5%), ekstrak dosis I (1 g/KgBB), ekstrak dosis II (2 g/KgBB), dan ekstrak dosis III (4 g/KgBB) yang dilakukan selama 1 jam pada masing-masing kelo mpok perlakuan. Pembuatan sediaan uji ekstrak daun binahong dibuat dengan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol 70%. Hasil penelitian dan perhitungan persen uji daya analgetik pada ekstrak etanolik daun binahong [Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis] yakni kontrol positif celebrex® (70,53%), ekstrak dosis I (48,06%), ekstrak dosis II (57,49%), dan ekstrak dosis III (69,33%). Hasil skrin ing fitokimia menunjukkan ekstrak mengandung Flavonoid. Flavonoid bekerja dengan menghambat enzim siklooksigenase yang dapat menurunkan sintesis prostaglandin sehingga mengurangi terjadinya vasodilatasi pembuluh darah dan aliran darah lokal sehingga migrasi sel radang pada area radang akan menurun.

Research on the determination of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) heavy metal contamination levels using the GFA-AAS method has been carried out in food samples. The aim of this study was to determine the levels of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) metal contamination so that they do not exceed the threshold limit set according to the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency Regulation No. 9 of 2022. The research was carried out by destroying the sample using HNO3(p) and H2O2(p) into microwave. Additions were made of matrix modifiers (mixture of Mg(NO3)2. 6H2O in 0,5% HNO3 and 1% NH4H2PO4 in 0,5% HNO3 (1:1)). Determination of heavy metal content in food was determined by the Carbon Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (GFA-AAS) method with a wavelength of 283.3 nm for lead (Pb) and 228.8 nm for cadmium (Cd). The results of measuring the levels of heavy metal lead (Pb) contamination in food samples were 0,016 mg/kg and 0,015 mg/kg for the heavy metal cadmium (Cd). Based on the Regulation of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency No 9 of 2022 concerning Requirements for Heavy Metal Contamination in Processed Foods, the maximum limit for metal contamination of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) in processed food is 0,30 mg/kg, where the results obtained do not exceed threshold, so that the sample is fit for consumption.

There has conducted research to determine the metal content of chromium (Cr) in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This study was conducted to determine the metal content of chromium in the nila fish with different sizes of fish weight, history of sampling sites (lakes former coal mine) and laboratory activities aimed to determine levels of heavy metals chromium in tilapia. Determination of heavy metals using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The results showed that levels of Chromium on tilapia in the lake ex-coal mine has the standard quality. Based on ISO 7387: 2009, the levels of Chromium on tilapia is not suitable for consumption and based on the levels of heavy metals were analyzed in a variety of sizes do not have the weight that make significant differences.

The researched about “The Correlation Level of Metal Lead (Pb) Towards The Protein Content of Teritip (balanus. sp)” this research was taken In The Coastal Water of Bunyu Island, North Borneo “This research aims to know the level of Metal (Pb) and protein content of Teritip (balanus. sp) based on the size and location of the different sampling. Afterwards, The Lead (Pb) metal and protein are correlated using Least Square method. Analysis of Metal (Pb) content by using AAS (Atomic absorption Spectrofotometry) and analysis of protein content using Kjeldahl method. From this research, it is found the Pb metal ion levels on point 1 is by an average of 0,574 mg/L, On point 2 is by an average of 0,816 mg/L, On points 3 is by an average of 0,648 mg/L and point 4 is by an average of 0,569mg/ L . It is also found the content protein of Teritip (balanus. sp) on point 1 is by an average of 22,9447 %. On point 2, it is found the average of protein content of 27,5737 %, point 3 by an average of 24,1332 % and point 4 by an average 20,9972 % . The correlation of Pb Metal level towards protein conten on Teritip (balanus. sp) symbolized as R2 = 0,810.

Kuersetin dan Hesperitin merupakan turunan dari senyawa Flavonoid yang berbeda kelas, Kuersetin kelas Alkohol, sedangkan Hesperetin kelas Alkanon. Docking Molekular, suatu ilmu penelitian secara in silico atau via perangkat lunak (program komputer) dan ditujukan untuk memprediksikan interaksi antara ligan (key) dengan reseptor (lock) dari ikatan hidrogen yang terbentuk. Autodock VINA adalah salah satu program Docking Molekular yang ada, diciptakan oleh Dr. Oleg Trott untuk meningkatkan efisiensi waktu pengerjaan dan akurasi dalam analisa. Dalam penelitian ini masing-masing dari senyawa Kuersetin dan Hesperitin akan di-Docking terhadap dua macam contoh reseptor, sel kanker otak (1S63) dengan ligan aslinya 778 dan sel kanker paru-paru (2ITO) dengan ligan aslinya IRESSA, terlebih dahulu dilakukan optimasi geometri, minimisasi energi juga validasi metode. Penelitian ini
ditujukan untuk menjelaskan perbandingan Kuersetin, Hesperitin dan ligan-ligan asli sebagai kandidat bahan obat anti kanker. Percobaan Docking, memberikan hasil Kuersetin dan Hesperitin membentuk ikatan hidrogen terhadap asam amino dari masing-masing reseptor. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Kuersetin dan Hesperitin memiliki kemampuan sebagai inhibitor, terutama pada sel kanker paru-paru (2ITO), karena potensi keduanya lebih baik dari ligan IRESSA. Walaupun Kuersetin dan Hesperitin tak memiliki potensi lebih baik dari ligan 778 pada sel kanker paru-paru, keduanya masih dapat digunakan sebagai bahan obat alternatif dari anti kanker.

Keterbatasan sumber daya air bersih yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat sekitar tambang menjadi dilema tersendiri, kondisi ini membuat masyarakat mengunakan air void sebagai sumber air baku untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Pembukaan lapisan tanah dalam proses penambangan telah membuat mineral di dalam tanah terbuka. Hal ini akan menyebabkan
terjadi oksidasi mineral sulfida (pirit-FeS2) yang membawa kandungan-kandungan logam berat berbahaya, seperti timah hitam (Pb), seng(Zn), arsen (As). Kondisi ini diduga akan menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan,jika dikonsumsi masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di Pondok pesantren Darul Fatta Loa Buah, Kota Samarinda menunjukkan bahwa air bekas void batu bara sudah dimamfaatkan sejak tahun 2019 sampai dengan saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaiaan kualitas air dari lubang bekas tambang batu bara dan mengidentifikasi keluhan kesehatan santri serta upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengelola air kolam pasca tambang sehingga memenuhi sayarat air bersih. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan mengunakan teknik penelitian observasional deskriptif dengan desain penelitian Cross Sectional dan pengumpulan sampel mengunakan metode total sampling yang berjumlah 98 santri. Berdasarkan hasil uji didapatkan tiga parameter yang tidak memenuhi standar yaitu kekeruhan, pH dan COD, dengan status kesehatan santri 60,2 % mengalami keluhan ringan , 33,7 % mengalami keluhan sedang dan 6,1 % mengalami keluhan berat dan untuk upaya pengelolaan air dengan menambahkan kaporit

Students' understanding of science can lead to misconceptions. This study aimed to describe profile of student’s misconceptions towards learning science. Based on data ofstudents misconceptions on learning science, will be formulated students learning process. The participants of this research were students of class VII A in Public Junior High School 5 Surabaya. Student’s misconceptions were determinedbased on the results of understanding on learning science tests that was designed in the form of CRI (Centainty of Response Index). Verification of high intensity misconceptions was done by identifying misconceptions in groups. Data for identification of misconceptions in the group was based on the average value of CRI of respondents who answered correctly (CRIB), respondents who answered incorrectly (CRIS), and the fraction of respondents who answered correctly (Fb). The results of this study were (1) 16 items from 26 (61.5%) was misconceptions, and (2) misconceptions students with high intensity occurred in the concept of the use of reasoning, experimentation, the nature of scientific ideas, scientific ideas democratically, the task of scientists, nature scientists, science is a boring science, the ability of students to learn science, and the students' understanding of the philosophy of science.

Emulsification activity, drop collapsing as well as oil displacement test were used to determine biosurfactant producing bacteria consortium activity from palm oil mill effluent (POME). Samples were collected from waste water treatment in PTPN XIII Palm Oil Mill Factory, Paser Regency, East
Kalimantan, Indonesia. Total of six samples were screened in order to find out which consortium was producing biosurfactant. All of the samples were showing activity in the drop collapsing method, but only sample #5 and #6 were showing Emulsification activity of 50 and 14%, respectively. Moreover,
sample #5 and #6 were showing oil displacement activity which have 0.37 cm and 0.26 cm in diameter, respectively.

Pengembangan metode analisis chlorampenicol secara spektrofotometri UV-VIS berbasis reaksi diazotasi pada suhu dingin telah dilakukan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan reaksi kopling antara garam diazonium yang bersumber dari sulfanilamid dengan chlorampenicol, garam diazonium dibuat dengan mereaksikan natrium nitrit dan HCl dengan sulfanilamid. Pada proses pembuatan dan reaksi kopling antara garam diazonium dengan chlorampenicol dilakukan pada suhu dingin dan juga senyawa yang dihasilkan stabil pada suhu ± 10°C. Senyawa yang terbentuk tadi berupa senyawa azo sulfanilamid-CAP dan diukur dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 400,941 nm.

The adsorption kinetics of Cr(VI) by two adsorbents, i.e. magnetite (Fe 3 O 4 ) and magnetite coated humic acids (Fe 3 O 4 /HA) have been studied. Adsorbent of Fe 3 O 4 and Fe 3 O 4 /HA were synthesized by co-precipitation method and then characterized by FT-IR, XRD and TEM image measurements. The acidity of the solution was adjusted to pH 3, comparasion on the adsorption kinetics of Cr(VI) on Fe 3 O 4 between Fe 3 O 4 /HA. The FT-IR spectra revealed the presence of main fuctional groups of Fe-O and C-O at free carboxylate acid in Fe 3 O 4 /HA and those of only Fe-O in Fe 3 O 4 . The two adsorbent had similar diffraction peaks at 2θ. The TEM image demonstaretd that Fe 3 O 4 were spherical in shape and uniform distribution and then Fe 3 O 4 /HA had no uniform size. Adsorption of Cr(VI) by Fe 3 O 4 was much faster than Fe 3 O 4 /HA at the acidity of pH 3, with adsorption rate constant (k) of 0.013 g.mg -1 .menit -1 for Fe 3 O 4 and 0.0062 g.mg -1 .menit -1 for Fe 3 O 4 /HA. The two adsorbents were giving a model of adsorption kinetics Ho (pseudo order 2).

This study aims to find out: (1) the difference of implementation of inquiry and direct learning model using drill method towards learning achievement in chemistry on rate of reaction topic in SMK Negeri 17 Samarinda, (2) the difference between students who have high memorizing skill in class which utilizes inquiry learning model and class which utilizes direct learning through drill method and students who have low memorizing skill in class which uses inquiry learning model and class which uses direct learning through drill method towards learning achievement on rate of reaction topic in SMK Negeri 17 Samarinda. The population in this research is all students of class XI Pharmacy in SMK Negeri 17 Samarinda, while the samples being taken is class XI Pharmacy 2 and XI Pharmacy 3, each has 25 students. XI Pharmacy 2 is the class that uses inquiry learning model while XI Pharmacy 3 implements direct learning through drill method. Data collecting technique being used in this research is the test technique. The result is then analyzed by using t-test. From the result, it can be concluded that: (1) there is no difference between the implementation of inquiry and direct learning through drill metthod towards learning achievement on rate of reaction topic in SMK Negeri 17 Samarinda, (2) there is difference in learning achievement between students who have high memorizing skill in class using inquiry learning model with class using direct learning through drill method and there is no difference in learning achievement between students who have low memorizing skill in class using inquiry learning model with class using direct learning through drill method.

PEMANFAATAN KARBON AKTIF DARI ARANG TEMPURUNG KELAPA SEBAGAI KATALIS PADA SINTESIS n-BUTIL ESTER DARI MINYAK JELANTAH

Penelitian tentang pemanfaatan karbon aktif dari arang tempurung kelapa sebagai katalis dalam sintesis n-butil ester telah dilakukan. Arang aktif tersulfonasi ini dibuat dengan mereaksikan karbon aktif dengan asam sulfat. Karbon aktif dibuat dari tempurung kelapa yang telah dipirolisis pada suhu 350°C kemudian disulfonasi dengan asam sulfat 10 N selama 6 jam. Hasilnya kemudian dicuci dan dikeringkan. Karbon aktif tersulfonasi dikarakterisasi dengan uji FT-IR dan SEM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pemanfaatan karbon aktif dari arang tempurung kelapa sebagai katalis. Karbon aktif tersulfonasi ini dimanfaatkan sebagai katalis pada sintesis n-butil ester dari minyak jelantah. Untuk karbon aktif tersulfonasi keberadaan gugus sulfonat ditunjukkan pada bilangan gelombang 1103,28 cm-1 dan 763,81 cm-1 yang merupakan gugus –S=O dan S-O. Untuk hasil sintesa ditunjukkan pada 725,23 cm-1 yang menunjukkan gugus CH2 dan bilangan gelombang 1735,93 cm-1 yang menunjukkan gugus C=O yang didukung dengan C-O pada bilangan gelombang 1242,16 cm-1.

This research was conducted with the aim of obtained the physical – chemical parameter change water quality caused by the coagulant dose variant. Issues raised in this study is a variation of the added coagulant dose on each raw water samples with dose of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 ml. Raw water is obtained from Cendana Intake as much as 6 samples, and then the other raw water is obtained from Palaran Intake as much as 6 samples. Of each raw water sample obtained reported on the weather conditions, and ebb & flow river conditions at the time of data collect. Obtained data analyzed using anova test to find out the availability of influence resulting from coagulant dose variant : (a) Raw water turbidity parameter with a value F cal 33,61 and F table 1,82 (0,05), 2,32(0,01). Raw water color parameter with a value F cal 32,15 dan F table 1,82 (0,05), 2,32(0,01). Raw water pH parameter with a value F cal 260 dan F table 1,82 (0,05), 2,32(0,01). F cal value > F table value at all anova test for each parameter indicates that coagulant additions greatly affect turbidity and color parameters change derived raw water suitable standard PERMENKES/No.492/PER IV/2010 about drink water (turbidity 5 NTU and color 15 PtCo). While the addition of coagulant in the raw water will lower the pH of the water, up to add lime or soda ash to raise the pH. In total all raw water samples with turbidity 30 – 80 ppm each matching derived optimal dose distribution average as big 20 – 35 ppm.

GRAFT KOPOLIMERISASI KARET ALAM DENGAN GLISIDIL METAKRILAT: PENGARUH TEMPERATUR, WAKTU, KECEPATAN ROTOR, KONSENTRASI PEROKSIDA DAN MONOMER

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh temperatur, kecepatan rotor, waktu, dan konsentrasi peroksida dan monomer Glisidil metakrilat (GMA). Sifat dan efisiensi pencangkokan GMA pada karet alam (NR) dilakukan menggunakan metode proses reaktif. Tiga jenis peroksida yang berbeda, benzoil peroksida (BPO), dikumil peroksida (DCP), dan 2,5-dimetil-2,5-bis-(tert-butil peroksi) heksana (T-101) diperiksa sebagai inisiator radikal bebas. Metodologi yang tepat ditetapkan dan komposisi kimia serta parameter pemrosesan reaktif diperiksa dan dioptimalkan. Prosedur untuk pemurnian produk reaksi dikembangkan sehingga tingkat pencangkokan monomer pada polimer dapat dikarakterisasi secara akurat, terutama menggunakan teknik FTIR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa derajat pencangkokan meningkat dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi GMA yang ditambahkan. Derajat pencangkokan GMA meningkat dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi peroksida. Jenis peroksida yang terbaik adalah T-101>DCP>BPO. Peroksida yang cocok untuk inisiasi reaksi pencangkokan GMA pada NR adalah T-101 dengan suhu optimum adalah 160oC.

Artocarpus altilis (Synonyms: Artocarpus communis and Artocarpus incisus.) Is a fast growing plant and spread it evenly in tropical and sub-tropical forests. In many countries, this plant is known as a traditional medicine such as in Taiwan is used as a remedy swelling of the liver, is anti-inflammatory, and has a detoxifying effect (detoxifyng), while in Indonesia, the leaves is using as an external medicine and to treat swelling of lymph. From various reports the results showed A. altilis contain steroids, chalcone, stilbene, flavonone, flavanone, aurone, and quinonoxanthone. Among the compounds which are found potentially as a hypo-allergenic and anti-tumor drug, tyrosinase and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities, and cathepsin inhibition.

PENGARUH FUNGSI KERJA KONTAK DEPAN PADA KINERJA SEL SURYA BERBASIS a-Si:H : STUDI NUMERIK

Dalam studi ini, pengaruh fungsi kerja kontak depan terhadap kinerja sel surya struktur ITO/(p)a-Si:H/(i)a-Si:H/(n)a-Si:H/ZnO/Ag yang difabrikasi dengan metode RF-PECVD disimulasi menggunakan perangkat AFORS-HET. Berdasarkan pada hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai WFITO divariasikan antara 4.95 to 5.55 eV dengan tujuan untuk menentukan nilai optimum WFITO dalam mendapatkan sel surya dengan efisiensi tinggi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai optimum fungsi kerja kontak depan pada antar-muka ITO/(p)a-Si:H adalah sekitar 5.45 eV yang menghasilkan efisiensi sebesar 7.22% (VOC = 1063 mV, JSC = 8.60 mA/cm2, FF = 78.93%) untuk sel surya Strukture-2. Hasil studi simulasi ini menghasilkan parameter-parameter optimum yang dapat dilanjutkan dengan eksperimen untuk mendapatkan sel surya yang lebih baik.

Chemistry learning material is difficult and abstract material. Learning media is an alternative used by teachers as a tool to channel content or teaching messages so as to attract students' attention. One of the chemistry learning media used is digital comics. This literature review aims to examine the implementation of digital comic-based learning media in chemistry learning in high schools. The method used in this literature review is SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Data collection uses Google Scholar with a time span from 2013-2023. The articles used in this literature review were 34 national journal articles and 17 international journal articles. Based on the results of this literature review, it shows that the application of using digital comic media such as comic life, fb reader, melsyaapps, and line webtoon in chemistry learning can convey information easily to students so that it can improve student learning outcomes, creative thinking skills, and develop student character values such as caring for the surrounding environment, being good at interacting with individuals and groups, and having a high curiosity.
