Abstract

Hydrogen is a source of alternative fuel which can be sustained. It is clean fuel since it burning residue is water. One method to obtain hydrogen is water electrolysis, but it is highly cost. Alternatively, hydrogen can be obtained by ammonia electrolysis using carbon electrode.
This research was experimentally design to find the most optimum electrical current and KOH concentration in ammonia content analysis using carbon electrodes.
Based on the data results, it is concluded that current variation in the elektrolysis using carbon electrodes directly proportional toward ammonia conversion level. As the current increase, more ammonia converses. On the contrary, variation of concentration is inversely proportional toward ammonia amount.
