Abstract

Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) is a medicinal plant that has benefits as an antioxidant, antibacterial, antimalarial, antiviral,
antidiabetic, and anti-inflammatory, This study to determine the optimum time in producing secondary metabolite
compounds and for amylase and protease inhibition. The production of secondary metabolites was carried out at a time
variation of 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours. The method in the amylase inhibition test used the DNS method and the
protease inhibition test used the Bradford method. The results showed that the optimum time for the production of
secondary metabolite compounds was 72 hours.
